Job Requirements

  • 3+ years of experience in Learning & Development or Corporate Education
  • Strong expertise in learning methodology, instructional design, and Training Needs Analysis (TNA)
  • Working knowledge of learning frameworks such as Bloom's Taxonomy and Kolb's Learning Cycle
  • Experience managing learning projects from discovery through implementation
  • Strong project management skills, including planning, task decomposition, estimation, and prioritization
  • Experience gathering requirements and driving alignment across diverse stakeholders
  • Experience working with SMEs to transform expertise into effective learning content
  • Upper-Intermediate English level with strong verbal and written communication skills
  • Proficiency with Google Workspace (Docs, Sheets, Slides) and practical experience using AI productivity tools

Role Description Tayari.live is a learning website that provides the opportunity for kids living in the diaspora and other parts of Africa to learn languages native to Africa. Swahili is currently the main focus of this project, with plans to expand to Yoruba, Akan, Shona, and Krio in the coming months. The goal is to provide a fun learning experience for kids to enjoy learning, preserving the cultures and languages of their people and fostering a sense of cultural pride. We are seeking teachers to assist in providing accurate lessons and great learning experiences for children signed up for our program. The successful candidate will be responsible for: - Providing one-on-one virtual lessons for children. - Recording lessons to give kids the opportunity to self-learn. Payment will be made per group lesson taught at a rate of $6-9 per class (estimated duration of classes will be 40 minutes depending on age), or $10 to $14 an hour, depending on experience, longevity, and skills/ratings, with the opportunity to become a full-time teacher after a probation period to be determined.
