• Financial Reporting: Oversee the preparation and review of monthly financial statements in strict accordance with ASPE standards. • Operational Accounting: Execute complex reconciliations and journal entries, ensuring precise SaaS revenue recognition and maintaining General Ledger integrity. • Compliance & Audit: Support annual audit processes, regulatory tax filings, and external reporting requirements to ensure full compliance. • Internal Controls: Maintain robust internal controls and standardized accounting procedures to ensure accuracy and mitigate financial risk. • Cycle Management: Lead month-end close and reporting cycles, ensuring the timely and accurate delivery of financial results. • Process Innovation: Support the optimization of accounting workflows by identifying opportunities for automation and the integration of AI tools to enhance operational efficiency and accuracy. • Strategic Reporting: Develop and maintain sophisticated KPI dashboards to provide stakeholders with actionable financial insights and performance metrics. • Budgeting & Forecasting: Collaborate with department leadership to consolidate inputs for the annual budget, ensuring alignment with corporate financial objectives. • Financial Modeling: Construct and refine dynamic financial models to forecast business performance and support strategic decision-making. • Trend Analysis: Conduct variance analysis and interpret key financial trends to identify risks and growth opportunities. • Process Optimization: Implement and optimize accounting and FP&A systems to enhance automation, efficiency, and cross-functional collaboration with Marketing, Sales, and Product teams. • System Ownership: Support the management of the FP&A system by assisting with updates and maintenance of its architecture, helping to ensure data integrity and evolving functionality in support of strategic planning. • Strategic Support: Deliver ad-hoc financial intelligence and lead special projects to drive continuous improvement in reporting and analytical workflows.

Job Requirements

  • CPA designation (required).
  • 3-5+ years of progressive experience in financial reporting, FP&A, or corporate accounting.
  • Experience at a Big Four accounting firm or in public accounting is considered a strong foundation for success in this role.
  • Strong understanding of ASPE accounting standards and operational finance.
  • Experience in SaaS or software/technology environments is considered an asset.
  • Advanced Excel and financial modeling skills; experience with ERP and FP&A tools preferred.
  • Prior experience leading or coordinating annual budgeting, forecasting cycles, and variance analysis, including partnering with department leaders, is an asset.
  • Exceptional analytical ability, attention to detail, and sound professional judgment.
  • Clear and confident communication skills with the ability to partner effectively across teams.
