Virtual Physician - Cardiology

CenterWell

Role Description The Cardiologist, Virtual Care specializes in diseases of the heart and blood vessels. It is part of a clinical care team that focuses on outpatient medicine, continuity of care, health maintenance, and disease prevention for elderly patients. The Cardiologist, Virtual Care manages complex cardiac conditions such as: - Heart attacks - Abnormal heartbeat rhythms - Congestive heart failure The Cardiologist provides preventative techniques for dealing with potential heart-related illnesses and spends 100% of their time clinically focused on direct patient virtual care, inclusive of patient-facing time and general administrative time (charting, etc.) as it relates to direct patient care. Your direct supervisor will be the Director of Cardiology. Use your skills to make an impact: - Conduct virtual consultations with patients to diagnose and treat cardiovascular conditions - Develop and implement personalized treatment plans for patients with cardiovascular diseases - Collaborate with other healthcare professionals to provide comprehensive care to patients - Order and interpret diagnostic tests, such as ECGs and echocardiograms - Prescribe medications and therapies for cardiovascular conditions Qualifications - Current medical license in good standing - Board certification in Cardiology - 5+ years of experience in Cardiology - Proficiency in electronic medical records (EMRs) and telemedicine platforms - Familiarity with clinical guidelines for cardiovascular care - Licensure requirements of the state of jurisdiction Requirements - This role is considered patient facing and is part of Humana/Senior Bridge's Tuberculosis (TB) screening program. - If selected for this role, you will be required to be screened for TB. - Travel: While this is a remote position, occasional travel to Humana's offices for training or meetings may be required.
