System Analysis Senior Advisor

Role Description Evernorth is hiring a System Analysis Sr. Advisor (Encore Program) to strengthen how clinical and financial data is used to drive smarter decisions. In this role, you will help ensure healthcare data is accurate, reliable, and easy to use—supporting better outcomes, compliance, and operational performance. You will work closely with business and technology teams to turn complex data into clear solutions, helping improve how information flows across systems and supports analytics. What You’ll Do - Translate healthcare business needs into clear functional solutions supporting claims, eligibility, membership, and provider data - Design data workflows, mappings, and integrations that improve data quality and usability - Create and maintain functional design documents and data mapping specifications - Partner with QA teams to define test strategies and validate data accuracy across systems - Review technical designs to ensure alignment with business goals and data warehousing best practices - Improve data quality, system performance, and reliability within the HCE Datamart - Investigate and resolve production issues using data analysis and root cause analysis - Support full SDLC activities including analysis, design, testing, implementation, and documentation - Guide testing efforts to ensure defects are correctly identified and resolved - Mentor junior analysts and promote strong data and system design practices Qualifications - 5+ years of experience as a Systems Analyst, including work with mainframe environments - Strong experience with relational databases (DB2 required; z/OS preferred) - Experience documenting requirements, functional designs, and data mapping - Experience supporting data warehouses or datamarts in regulated environments - Strong understanding of data warehousing concepts (data models, ETL, subject areas) - Proven skills in data analysis, profiling, and root cause analysis - Ability to communicate effectively with both technical and non-technical teams - Strong organization, ownership, and time management skills - Experience working across all phases of the SDLC Requirements - Experience with healthcare insurance data (claims, eligibility, membership, provider data) - Knowledge of data governance, data quality, and audit processes - Experience with mainframe tools (TSO/ISPF, batch processing) - Exposure to additional databases such as Oracle - Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or a related field Benefits - If you will be working at home occasionally or permanently, the internet connection must be obtained through a cable broadband or fiber optic internet service provider with speeds of at least 10Mbps download/5Mbps upload.
