IT Specialist

• Establish, optimize, and safeguard core technical ecosystem • Oversee the complete lifecycle of networks, hardware systems, and software platforms • Lead the design and configuration of robust local networks including routers, switches, and firewalls • Evaluate and select hardware assets and foundational software platforms • Download, install, activate, and customize core software environments • Guard confidential company resources by deploying active intrusion detection systems and encrypting sensitive data • Drive internal user satisfaction by addressing help desk queries and leading hands-on technical training sessions • Track technical project lifecycles and ensure total adherence to budget parameters • Own the execution of critical HR-focused IT workflows and conduct standardized asset setup • Conduct comprehensive disaster recovery planning and backup procedures.
Job Requirements
- 2-3 years of extensive experience working directly within a specialized IT environment
- Proven experience leading technical teams or guiding major, complex IT implementation projects from inception to completion
- Advanced expertise in setting up, maintaining, and managing networks, including routers, firewalls, switches, and wireless access points
- Advanced capabilities in hardware installation, software configuration, and proactive security deployment
- Strong problem-solving skills to efficiently analyze technical errors, uncover root causes, and execute fixes under pressure
- Highly proficient in task management platforms such as ClickUp, Jira, Trello, Asana, or Monday.com
- Mastery of Google Workspace applications, including Drive, Sheets, Docs, Slides, and Calendars
- Superior communication skills tailored for breaking down complex tech concepts for non-technical users
- Ability to work effectively in a fully remote/telecommute environment.

• Serve as the primary escalation point for IT Admins I and II, tackling the most complex hardware, software, and OS issues across macOS and Windows. • Act as the primary administrator for core platforms (e.g., Jamf Pro, Intune, or Okta), ensuring they are configured according to industry best practices and security standards. • Lead small-to-medium IT initiatives, such as software rollouts, security remediations, or office expansions, from planning through to execution. • Identify inefficiencies in onboarding, offboarding, and support workflows; design and implement improvements to increase team velocity. • Partner with the Security team on initiatives such as endpoint compliance enforcement, disk encryption management, and vulnerability patching schedules execution. • Author high-quality internal "Runbooks" for the IT team and clear "How-to" guides for employees. • Provide technical guidance and "over-the-shoulder" coaching to junior admins to help level up the entire team’s technical capabilities. • Interface with third-party vendors for procurement, support escalation, and software renewals.
