Title: Nutritionist Location: Canandaigua, NY Job Description: Job Type Full-time Description JOB SUMMARY: SPCC is currently seeking a dedicated WIC Nutritionist to conduct health and nutrition assessments for WIC applicants and participants, while identifying and documenting risk factors in accordance with program requirements. This role provides individualized nutrition and health counseling tailored to participant needs and prescribes appropriate WIC food packages based on eligibility and preferences. In this role, you will also connect participants with relevant health and human service resources through appropriate referrals. RESPONSIBILITIES INCLUDE: - May conduct all duties of CPA, Nutrition Assistant and Program Support staff. - Develop and implement individual care plans (ICPs) and oversee high risk care to all participants provide oversight and guidance to CPA and Nutrition Assistant staff. - Coordinate nutrition education, including breastfeeding promotion and support, that is responsive to the identified needs/interests of each high-risk participant. - Refer high-risk participants to other health-related and social services, as necessary. - Track high-risk participants’ progress in improving their health and document outcomes. - Ensure the efficient flow of the assessment and education processes. The Work The Lexipol Policy Content Training Team is responsible for the publication of all policy-related Daily Training Bulletins (DTBs) and other policy-related training for subscribers to any of Lexipol’s public safety and local government policy manuals. Additionally, the team contributes to, and in some cases is directly responsible for, the publication of public safety-related content of an occasional nature, or for another team which may have primary responsibility for that content. The Public Safety Policy Training Content Developer researches, reviews, and authors written training content across Lexipol’s various public safety and local government product lines, incorporates updates identified by other team members into training documents, evaluates training content for practicality and functionality within public safety and local government organizations, researches content to align with best practice standards, and recommends changes and updates as necessary. The Public Safety Training Content Developer may also review and create other written content as assigned. The prime objective for the Public Safety Policy Training Content Developer is to deliver assigned projects with a high level of quality, while adhering to time constraints. This role is primarily a writing role, to include drafting, reviewing, revising, and editing training content.
