SUMMARY As a member of the architecture team, you will be working across the product team including product management, data science/ML, and various engineering teams to help define, drive, and implement our Data Strategy. You will design processes and drive decisions related to data architecture, tooling, best practices and execution tactics. You will provide guidance to the Data Platform teams, Product teams and senior leadership in evaluating and implementing the tools and products needed to execute our Data Strategy. RESPONSIBILITIES Provide architectural leadership for data solutions, data architectures, data warehousing, strategic data design, and infrastructure initiatives. Design and develop high volume data ingestion components and ETL solutions to collect data from various internal and external sources. Define a robust and extensible data architecture and plan for iterative implementation. Architect and guide the development of Proof-of-Concept projects to validate data designs and solutions. Architect for performant, durable, and scalable cloud-centric data models and validation supporting ever-evolving data versions and layouts. Design and enhance our cloud-based data analytics solutions to address AI/ML, data insights, security, privacy, and reliability concerns. Architect for agentic coordination and data discovery Design systems that enable AI governance, security and auditability Architect the overall data strategy including security, data models, data infrastructure, software selection, and performance. Understand existing databases, warehouses, and lake structures to drive the evolution of our current practices. Create technical design documentation which includes current and future functionality, database/data storage, specifications, flow, and diagrams. Help determine data storage based on the use case (relational, document, NoSQL, vector, graph, etc.) Collaborate and work with Cloud/Security architects and subject matter experts (SMEs). Ensure data quality and controls are in place to support various data ingestion inflows and outflows processes. Mentor Data Platform team members. Our salary ranges are determined by role, level, and location. Within the range, individual pay is determined by work location and additional factors, including job-related skills, experience, and relevant education or training. Job Requirements
- BS/BA in Computer Science, Master's degree in Computer Science preferred.
- At least 10 years of experience as an architect for data and analytics solutions.
- Experience with relevant architecture standards, processes, and methodologies.
- Experience with cloud data platforms (e.g. Snowflake, Databricks, Flink, Kafka, Managed data services, etc.)
- Public cloud providers and relevant data services (AWS, Google, and/or Azure).
- Experienced with operationalizing event data from microservice architectures.
- Experience utilizing data architecture for AI/ML processing.
- Working knowledge of IAC and AWS or GCP fundamentals (Dynamo, Redshift, EC2, Terraform, EKS, S3, Containers, Microservices, etc.)
- Experience supporting mission critical production environments.
- Experience handling sensitive customer data to maintain compliance with data protection standards such as HIPAA, GDPR, and CCPA.
- PHYSICAL DEMANDS AND WORKING CONDITIONS
- Some travel is required, typically to i meet with customers, team and organizational meetings, etc.
- Must be able to work exceptionally well with people of varying backgrounds and personality types.
- Ability to operate a computer and work at a desk for extended periods of time.
- Ability to communicate effectively in writing, in person, over the telephone and through various collaborative tools such as Zoom, Confluence and Slack.
