Role Description We are looking for a Lead Azure DevOps Engineer who will be primarily responsible for implementing DevOps solutions in Azure. The role is a technical, consultative, and client-facing role that will be accountable for client solution development, delivery, and support. The ideal candidate will have experience in consulting and have demonstrated success in technical implementations and project work. - Be an essential part of the team responsible for crafting and delivering creative cloud solutions for our clients. - Participate in technical envisioning, technical design, and delivery of assigned projects. - Work with solution architects to support project efforts from a technical perspective. - Execute the implementation of designed solutions into client deliverables. - Assist with design and deployment of client workloads into Azure. - Provide technical expertise and support across the following four areas of specialization: - Datacenter Transformation - Azure Infrastructure - DevOps and CI/CD pipelines - Cloud Automation Qualifications - 7+ years of experience in system administration (Windows and/or Linux), DevOps and/or software development and IT Operations. - 3+ years project experience migrating and deploying cloud-based solutions. - 3+ years of experience leading project teams. - Must demonstrate hands-on experience with Terraform or Bicep, ARM Templates and Ansible (or equivalent). - Hands-on implementation experience of Continuous Integration and Continuous Delivery in Azure DevOps (VSTS/TFS), Jenkins, and/or Bamboo (or another similar tool). - 1+ years implementing and supporting Microsoft Azure infrastructure and topologies (or demonstrated experience with AWS or GCP). - Automation experience - very good scripting knowledge (PowerShell, Bash, Python, Groovy, etc.). Experience can be from any public cloud. - Experience with various cloud deployment methodologies. - Understanding of cloud ecosystem and leading-edge cloud emerging technologies. - Performance analysis, troubleshooting and remediation techniques. - Strong analytical problem-solving ability. - Strong presentation, written and verbal communication skills. - Self-starter with the ability to work independently or as part of a virtual project team. - Bachelor’s degree in computer science, or related field. Requirements - Experience in Chef/Puppet, Docker and/or Kubernetes is a plus. - Microsoft Certification a plus. Role Description We are seeking a DevOps Lead to join our team and support our clients in the Washington DC-Baltimore area. The ideal candidate will be responsible for providing design recommendations based on long-term IT organization strategy and viewed both internally and externally as a technical expert and critical technical resource across multiple disciplines. - Architect, implement, and maintain end-to-end CI/CD pipelines leveraging CMS-approved tools (e.g., GitHub, Jenkins) to support continuous integration, automated testing, and continuous delivery. - Standardize pipeline design across all application components to ensure consistency, traceability, and repeatability. - Implement automated build, test, security scan, and deployment stages aligned with CMS Target Life Cycle (TLC) requirements. - Optimize pipeline performance to reduce build and deployment times while maintaining quality and compliance. - Enable parallel development and multi-release support, ensuring seamless handling of concurrent releases. - Lead the design and implementation of Infrastructure as Code (IaC) solutions (e.g., Terraform, AWS CloudFormation) to provision and manage AWS environments. - Ensure all infrastructure is version-controlled, auditable, and reproducible. - Establish automated environment provisioning processes for development, test, staging, and production environments. - Implement configuration management and environment consistency controls across all environments. - Support environment scaling, failover, and disaster recovery capabilities. - Collaborate with the System Architect to modernize infrastructure using AWS-native and serverless technologies where appropriate. - Ensure all deployments meet CMS security requirements (ARS, FISMA, HIPAA) prior to release. - Establish real-time alerting for system health, performance degradation, and failures. - Develop and maintain operational dashboards for system performance, availability, and pipeline metrics. - Support incident response by providing diagnostic tools, logs, and root cause analysis capabilities.
