As a Business Analyst at Gainwell for the Medicaid/Medicare Subrogation and Health Insurance Premium Payment (HIPP) team, you can contribute your skills as we harness the power of technology to help our clients improve the health and well-being of the members they serve. - Analyze data and user interface processes to investigate root cause of issues and/or make recommendations to improve business processes to support business and client needs. - Build basic conceptual data and process models to quantify the current state and potential impact of changes to the system. - Collaborate with business, client management and technical stakeholders to elicit, document and translate business requirements into technical specifications for development. - Create, execute or analyze test plans and test case scenarios to verify that requirements have been met and are built into system design. - Support project management of client and product implementations by clarifying project objectives, scope, business requirements and project schedule, as needed. Qualifications - Bachelor’s degree in computer science, Information Systems or related discipline plus 2 years of Business Analyst experience or equivalent combination of education and experience. - Business Analyst experience to include gathering, analyzing, documenting and translating requirements into actionable solutions for business stakeholders and clients. - Strong understanding of basic programming concepts, including configuration, development workflows, automation and the software development life cycle. - Strong proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and the ability to create, organize, and manage structured documentation. - Experience with data query, analysis, visualization, and automation systems including SQL, advanced Excel, PowerBI, Python or related systems for data analysis, automation, and report generation. - Strong analytical thinking with the ability to translate data into actionable insights and support decision-making across operational teams. - Proficient project management and organizational skills with the ability to organize and manage multiple deliverables simultaneously, maintain deadlines, and adapt to shifting priorities. - Experience working with Azure DevOps or related ALM and SDLC tools. - Collaborative and influential team player who builds strong partnerships with across teams and business leaders. - Strong written and oral communication and presentation skills to present complex analytical insights clearly and concisely. - Independent and proactive analytical thinker with strong critical-thinking and structured problem-solving abilities. - High learning agility with the ability to quickly absorb new tools, systems, and business processes. Requirements - Experience in Healthcare data management industry with Medicaid data preferred. - Experience collaborating with cross-functional teams in a remote or hybrid environment preferred. - Business Analysis or related certification preferred. Data Managers assist and support the Project team in planning, preparing, organizing, controlling, and submitting contractually required data, as well as manage the release and control of a wide variety of program related documentation. The work is guided by Data Management policies and procedures. This fast-paced role is vital to the performance of a program throughout its lifecycle. Essential Functions of a Data Manager are: - Follows systems necessary to ensure that assigned, required data is compiled, prepared, reviewed, approved, published and submitted to or received from the customer in quality form, on time, and within budget. - Contributes to a configuration/data management plan, when required, to define and provide an integrated system for the analysis, planning, monitoring, storage and retrieval, status reporting, receipt and submission of data required on a program. - Implements processes and procedures necessary for the generation of the data items and monitors adherence and quality to the CDRLs and DIDs. - Ensures the establishment, maintenance and project level control of master files for all data in accordance with a Configuration/Data Management Plan. - Reviews all deliverable data for conformance to customer requirements and coordinates this effort with the preparing function. - Analyzes requirements of contractual data to establish and/or provide direction to preparing groups. - Establishes program milestone targets for each data element and develops methods/procedures of reporting progress against these milestones. - Maintains knowledge of Data Item Descriptions (DID), applicable MIL-STD and Contract Data Requirement Lists (CDRLs). - Prepares reports/briefings for program management as required in fulfilling the role established for data management on the program. - Performs other duties and responsibilities as required.
