You will need enough technical fluency to build working solutions and evaluate AI-generated output, but deep engineering expertise is not required. You will operate with a small team of AI experts and report to Head of AI. As the “tip of the spear” you will work with leadership across every function at SailPoint to help Identify and deploy Agentic solutions to achieve maximum operational efficiency, while simultaneously respecting the dignity of the role of people in the future of SailPoint’s workforce. You will have a strong sense of agency and innovation with 0-1 Agentic solutioning skills. You will be an inspiration to others with your mastery of multiple agentic tools and platforms, freeing SailPoint employees from the mundane and helping the entire company operate at the highest and best use of their intellect. You will be responsible for the following: Diagnose & Prioritize - Engage with leaders across every business function to identify high-value automation opportunities. - Evaluate use cases against a consistent ROI framework: time saved, error reduction, scalability, and strategic importance. - Develop and maintain a prioritized pipeline of agentic workflow opportunities. Design & Build - Architect end-to-end agentic workflows using modern AI tools and platforms. - Build working prototypes and proof-of-concepts, using AI-assisted development tools where appropriate. - Translate business requirements into workflow designs that can be reviewed and hardened by technical and security teams. - Develop a library of reusable agentic components to accelerate future work. About the team:  You will be a foundational member of a small team of AI experts working for the Head of AI. You will work closely with leaders across the corporation aligning with their business priorities and delivering a suite of AI workflow solutions for them. This is a highly cross-functional role that will require you to navigate organizational complexity and build strong relationships with leaders in all functions at SailPoint. Roadmap for success:  30 Days:  - Build relationships with key stakeholders across all functions - Conduct a rapid audit of current systems and manual workflows to identify automation candidates. - Establish your working tech stack and tooling preferences. - Co-develop the initial use case pipeline with the AI Innovation team. 90 Days:  - Deliver 5 agentic workflows in production, each with benchmarked value documentation. - Present a first iteration of the agentic workflow best-practices guide. - Advise IT on infrastructure and tooling requirements to expand agentic capabilities. 6 Months: - Deliver 15 agentic workflows in production, with full ROI documentation. - Begin building a reusable component library that accelerates future workflow development. 1 Year:  - Expand your knowledge and skillset with market available tools and enhance SailPoint’s Agentification capabilities. Strategic thinkers who understand how businesses operate, can quickly identify where AI creates leverage, and are comfortable building working solutions using modern AI tools. Apply → Pass qualification(s) → Join a project → Complete tasks → Get paid. Project time expectations: Tasks are estimated to require around 10–20 hours per week during active phases, based on project requirements; This is an estimate, not a guaranteed workload, and applies only while the project is active. Note: Rates vary based on expertise, skills assessment, location, project needs, and other factors. Higher rates may be offered to highly specialized experts. Lower rates may apply during onboarding or non-core project phases. Payment details are shared per project.

Role Description Mindrift connects specialists with project-based AI opportunities for leading tech companies, focused on testing, evaluating, and improving AI systems. Participation is project-based, not permanent employment. What this opportunity involves: - You design computational physics problems to challenge a frontier AI model. - The problem must have an answer verifiable by code and require a specialized tool like FEniCS, OpenFOAM, Meep, REBOUND, CAMB, or others. - Each problem runs inside a sealed Linux container with the tool pre-installed and a programmatic judge that grades the model's answer. As an expert author, you: - Pick an anchor tool and design a problem that hinges on its physics models, integrators, Monte Carlo kernels, or PDE discretisations. - Write a Python reference solution, supply input files and domain or initial condition definitions where needed. - Decide the numerical answer and how close the model needs to get — with a domain-appropriate tolerance — to count as right. - Test the problem against the model in batches of parallel attempts, tuning the problem difficulty until the agent only succeeds in a small number of attempts. - Once you're happy with the task, and it scores within range, the task goes to a senior reviewer in your subfield for feedback to ensure task quality is high. Calibration requires patience. You're tuning the problem against batches of parallel runs of the agent, aiming for a pass rate in the 10–30% band. Reaching that means: - Rewriting field configurations. - Tightening initial conditions and solver parameters. - Watching how the agents act. This time compounds in two directions. You come out of each task with deeper command of the anchor tool itself, and also get a hands-on working intuition for how a frontier model navigates complex electromagnetic, fluid, gravitational, and cosmological problems. Qualifications - Degree in Physics (Theoretical, Experimental, or Computational) or related field. - 2+ years of research, applied, or teaching experience. - Python proficiency for writing reference solutions. - Fluency with — or strong willingness to independently learn — at least one scriptable physics package: FEniCS / DOLFINx, OpenFOAM, Meep, MPB, openEMS, Geant4, PYTHIA8, ROOT / PyROOT, WarpX, REBOUND, MESA, CAMB, CLASS, or bilby. - Ability to design problems that genuinely require a specialized simulation tool. - Strong written English (C1+). No prior experience with the listed tools? You're still welcome to apply — as long as you're ready to get up to speed on your own and hit the ground running. Requirements - This opportunity is a good fit for physicians with experience in Python open to part-time, non-permanent projects. Benefits - For this project, tasks are estimated to require around 10–20 hours per week during active phases, based on project requirements. - Contributors can earn up to $35 per hour equivalent, depending on their level and pace of contribution. - Compensation varies across projects depending on scope, complexity, and required expertise. - Please note that other projects on the platform may offer different earning levels based on their requirements.
