Role Description Hanna is seeking bilingual and multilingual individuals to operate as freelance interpreters in a 1099 Independent Contractor role. As an interpreter, you make a positive contribution to society in support of language access for everyone, regardless of their proficiency with the English language. Qualifications - Fluency in English and target language with a comprehensive understanding of idiomatic speech and cultural patterns. - Previous interpreting experience, preferably in medical, legal, or educational settings. - Demonstrated professionalism, punctuality, and adaptability in the workplace. - Ability to work independently and as part of a team. - Strong communication, analytical, and problem-solving skills. - Ability to operate basic communication tools. - Flexibility to work in different settings and adapt to various work environments. - Must be located in and authorized to work in the US (We do not offer visa sponsorship). - High School Diploma or equivalent; or certification in interpreting or related fields. Role Description Due to increased demand for localized content, Pixelogic is looking for experienced English into Romanian subtitling translators and QCers to establish a professional, high-performing collaboration as part of our language services department with the end goal of servicing our clients’ end-to-end projects. The ideal candidate will be highly motivated, possess a flexible attitude, and adapt quickly in a fast-paced environment. In addition, they must be able to work as part of a team that deals with changing priorities and workloads. Due to the sensitive nature of the delivery schedule, time flexibility is of paramount importance. - Responsible for all aspects of subtitle file creation, depending on assignment, whether Conforming, Translating or Proofreading/QC’ing of subtitle files using Pixelogic proprietary cloud based subtitling software - Leverage in-house glossary tool for consistency across products as well as follow client style guide specifications - Handle rejections/make corrections in files - Remain current with industry trends, and adapt to evolving client requirements - Maintain the confidentiality of sensitive content. Qualifications - Romanian and English bilingual - Knowledge of other languages is an asset - Minimum of 2 years of subtitling translation and/or proofreading experience required - Attention to detail and accuracy - Must have demonstrated ability to accomplish work on a rigorous schedule (on-time delivery and flexible working hours) - Ability to follow technical / style guide for multiple client content types
