Role Description We are seeking a detail-oriented and proactive Credentialing Specialist to join our Credentialing team. This role is responsible for managing all aspects of the credentialing and reappointment process for clinicians within an assigned book of business. The Credentialing Specialist plays a critical role in ensuring clinicians are properly credentialed and privileged in accordance with hospital medical staff bylaws and regulatory standards, enabling them to provide care across designated hospital programs. As a Credentialing Specialist, your work directly supports patient access to high-quality care by ensuring clinicians meet regulatory and hospital standards. You’ll be part of a collaborative team that values accuracy, accountability, and strong professional relationships across clinicians, medical staff offices, and internal departments. Qualifications - Minimum of two (2) years of credentialing experience. - High School Diploma required; Associate’s degree preferred. - Strong organizational and time management skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities and meet deadlines. - Excellent written and verbal communication skills. - High attention to detail and ability to produce accurate, high-volume work. - Working knowledge of credentialing standards including NCQA, JCAHO, NPDB guidelines, and general licensing requirements. Requirements - Certified Provider Credentialing Specialist (CPCS) credential (preferred). - Experience in a Medical Staff Office environment (preferred). - Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Access) (preferred). - Experience with QGenda software (preferred). - Understanding of medical terminology (preferred). • To analyze Auto Bodily Injury and Property Damage claims on behalf of our valued clients to determine benefits due. • Ensuring ongoing adjudication of claims within service expectations, industry best practices, and specific client service requirements. • Analyzing and processing claims through well-developed action plans to an appropriate and timely resolution by investigating and gathering information to determine the exposure on the claim. • Negotiating settlement of claims within designated authority. • Communicating claim activity and processing with the claimant and the client. • Reporting claims to the excess carrier and responding to requests of directions in a professional and timely manner.
• To analyze mid-level commercial auto physical damage and total loss claims to determine scope of damages. • Assigns reserve values to claims, making claims payments as necessary, and settling claims up to designated authority level. • Receive and review new claims and maintain data integrity in the claims system. • Conduct claim file activities including evaluations, investigations, litigation management and resolution. • Review investigative reports, insurance policies and other pertinent records for proper coverage. • Investigate the cause and extent of the damages, obtain appropriate documentation and issue settlement. • Determine coverage of claims with proper limits and deductibles in accordance with policy information. • Prepare settlement documents and requests payment for the claim and expenses. • Work with external vendors and professionals. • Interview and correspond with claimant and witnesses regarding claims. • Estimate cost of repair, replacement or compensation. • Prepare report findings and negotiate settlements with claimants. • Recommend litigation by legal department when settlement cannot be negotiated. • Revise case reserves in assigned claims files to cover probable costs. • Assist in preparing loss experience report to help determine profitability and calculate adequate future rates.

Role Description The WC Senior Claims Specialist handles complex and high-profile Workers' Compensation claims following company standards. This role works closely with case managers and attorneys, manages subrogation, and negotiates settlements. The Senior Claims Specialist ensures the best possible outcome for the claim, meeting customer service expectations, and supporting the goals of the Claims Department and CorVel. This is a remote role. Essential Functions & Responsibilities: - Receives Workers’ Compensation claim, confirms policy coverage and acknowledgement of the claim. - Determines validity and compensability of the claim by investigating and gathering information regarding the claim and files necessary documentation with state agencies. - Establishes reserves and authorizes payments within reserving authority limits. - Develops and manages well documented action plans with the case manager and outcomes manager to reduce overall cost of the claim. - Coordinates early return-to-work efforts with the appropriate parties. - Manages subrogation and litigation of claim as it applies. - Manages potential claim recoveries of all types. - Reports claims to the excess carrier when applicable. - Communicates claim status with the customer and claimant. - Adheres to client and carrier guidelines and participates in claims review as needed. - Develops and maintains professional customer relationships. - Complies with rules and regulations of applicable state. - Additional duties as assigned.
