Account Executive Heath and Human Services (HHS) - Full Time - Remote We are seeking an experienced sales professional with a proven track record of selling software solutions to state and local government agencies. The ideal candidate will have demonstrated success in complex, multi-stakeholder sales environments and experience navigating government procurement processes. As an Account Executive, you'll leverage your government sales expertise and interpersonal skills to deeply understand agency challenges, position our solutions effectively, and foster long-term partnerships. Your work will directly contribute to improving public services while helping government agencies meet their funding and compliance requirements. Our collaborative team culture supports both individual achievement and collective success. You'll work with marketing, product, customer success, and other sales team members to ensure seamless customer experiences while driving revenue growth in your assigned territory. Job Type / Schedule Full-time employee, 40 hours per week, remote. Lyssn, io, Inc. is based out of Seattle, WA. The majority of work can be conducted remotely through telecommuting. The applicant must be able to accommodate clients business hours in their assigned territory. Travel to customer sites, conferences, and in-person Lyssn team meetings is required regularly throughout the year. Essential Functions - Develop and execute comprehensive sales strategies to achieve revenue targets within assigned government territories - Build and maintain a robust sales pipeline through strategic prospecting, qualifying, and closing high-value opportunities - Engage in consultative selling with government decision-makers, aligning our SaaS solutions with their specific challenges and requirements - Establish and nurture relationships with key stakeholders, including agency directors, program managers, IT leaders, and procurement officials - Collaborate on SOW development, proposals, and presentations tailored to government clients - Execute go-to-market strategies in collaboration with marketing, product, and customer success - Complete work remotely and conduct business in alignment with company processes and quality standards - Document activities in our CRM to ensure accurate revenue data, and contract expectations, scope, and decisions, and track critical deal details that will inform business and legal decisions during contract negotiations
Job Requirements
- Candidates are required to demonstrate the following skills
- 5-10 years of technology sales experience, with at least 4 years specifically selling software solutions to state and local government agencies
- Proven success closing complex, high-value SaaS contracts with multiple decision-makers
- Demonstrated ability to navigate government procurement processes and purchasing cycles and contract negotiations
- Strong understanding of competitive and non-competitive purchasing within state and local governments
- Bachelors or advanced degree in Business Administration, Public Policy, Social Work, or relevant field
- Additional Requirements:
- Understanding the needs and considerations for the program and IT side of government operations within child welfare, corrections, and workforce development departments
- Understanding of large-scale evidence-based practice (EBP) implementations and evaluations, including activities such as fidelity monitoring. Knowledge of implementation science, change management, and funding drive legislation, a plus

- Salary Range
- Compensation package includes base salary plus commission, commensurate with experience. Expected OTE range is $190,000 to $220,000 with the opportunity to exceed the range with high performance. New Lyssn employees may be granted stock options (subject to board approval).
