Role Description Our customer is undertaking a multi-year transformation to modernize its contact center ecosystem, transitioning from a fragmented, multi-vendor environment to a unified platform built on AWS Connect. This effort will support thousands of agents across multiple lines of business and enable a more scalable, agile, and customer-centric operating model. The AWS Engineer will play a critical role in this transformation by providing deep technical expertise across the AWS ecosystem. This individual will help design, build, and support cloud-native solutions that enhance customer experience, streamline agent workflows, and reduce operational complexity. This role requires a hands-on engineer who can own problems end-to-end, contribute to architectural decisions, and collaborate across business and technical teams to deliver scalable solutions. The position will also support early-stage pilot initiatives and the broader rollout of AWS Connect capabilities across the organization. Key Responsibilities: - Serve as a core AWS engineering lead supporting the design, development, and scaling of AWS Connect and related services - Troubleshoot and resolve production issues across multiple AWS services, identifying root causes and implementing long-term fixes - Design and implement scalable, resilient cloud solutions aligned with enterprise architecture standards - Develop and maintain Lambda functions and integrations to support contact center workflows and business processes - Lead and support integration efforts with enterprise systems (e.g., Salesforce, internal platforms, APIs) - Collaborate with stakeholders to translate business needs into technical solutions and implementation plans - Contribute to and enhance Infrastructure as Code (Terraform) for consistent and repeatable deployments - Research and evaluate AWS services to recommend innovative yet practical solutions - Support the rollout of contact center capabilities across multiple lines of business - Partner with business and operations teams to improve: - Customer routing and experience - Agent productivity and workflows - System usability and maintainability Qualifications - 5+ years of experience in AWS cloud engineering and development - Proven experience designing, building, and supporting scalable distributed systems in AWS - Strong programming experience (Python preferred, but open to other languages) - Experience building and supporting API-driven integrations - Working knowledge of DevOps practices, CI/CD pipelines, and automation - Experience with Terraform or similar Infrastructure as Code tools - Strong problem-solving skills with the ability to own issues through resolution - Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced, evolving environment - Excellent communication skills and experience working with cross-functional teams Requirements - Aws - Cloud - Python - Lambda - Api - Terraform - Aws connect - Api gateway - IAM - Cloud watch Benefits - Medical, dental & vision - Critical Illness, Accident, and Hospital - 401(k) Retirement Plan – Pre-tax and Roth post-tax contributions available - Life Insurance (Voluntary Life & AD&D for the employee and dependents) - Short and long-term disability - Health Spending Account (HSA) - Transportation benefits - Employee Assistance Program - Time Off/Leave (PTO, Vacation or Sick Leave) Company Description We're partners in transformation.
