Role Description WCI’s Superintendent manages day-to-day field operations for government and commercial construction projects, overseeing all production activities to ensure work is completed safely, on schedule, within budget, and in compliance with contract parameters and quality standards. This role requires a strong background in civil, architectural, mechanical, and electrical disciplines, as well as construction means and methods related to renovation, new construction, and on-site work. Superintendent communicates effectively with management, subcontractors, vendors, clients, and design professionals; facilitates problem-solving in the field; maintains clean and organized jobsites; manages multiple projects simultaneously; and travels to job sites as needed. Key Performance Outcomes: - Accuracy driven - Commitment to scheduling coordination and timeline management - Versatility in simultaneous management of various scopes and projects - Good natured, collaborative, accessible and optimistic Key Objectives: - Manage daily field operations and work sequencing to meet project milestones and schedules - Supervise subcontractors, vendors, and labor; coordinate and distribute lookahead schedules - Maintain effective working relationships with all project stakeholders - Verify quality of installation, layouts, measurements, and compliance with plans, specifications, and submittals - Review and coordinate submittals and shop drawings for constructability and field conditions - Coordinate inspections and manage RFIs to support timely Certificates of Completion or Occupancy - Oversee self-performed work and manage changes to project scope using current contract documents - Manage punch list activities, project closeout, daily field reports, safety, and jobsite cleanliness - Participate in Owner–Architect–Contractor (OAC) meetings Qualifications - 3-5 years of related ‘General Contracting’ experience balancing multiple projects with a concentration in government/commercial sector - BS Degree is preferred - Ability to interpret and build according to drawings, specifications, etc. - Proficiency with basic construction documentation and reporting tools - Current OSHA 30, 1st Aid and CPR credentials - If not available, must be obtained within 30 days of employment Requirements - Experience in supervision of workforce and subcontractors - Competency in interpreting and preparing construction schedules - BS Degree in either Construction/Engineering/Architecture - Proficiency with MS Office/Projects and current/existing PM software (Adobe/AutoCad/Bluebeam/RedTeam) Benefits - This description does not cover all responsibilities or requirements of the role.
