- Handled Jeonsoft software (not required)

What You Need to Know The Senior Payroll Garnishment Specialist is responsible for interpreting, reviewing, and processing wage garnishments— including tax levies, student loans, child support orders, and writs—and accurately entering related data into the HRIS system (Workday). This role requires the ability to learn and apply relevant laws, rules, and regulations governing various lien types while consistently meeting established quality and productivity standards. The position involves regular collaboration with Payroll, HR, and HRIS teams to ensure compliance and accuracy. Qualifications: - Equivalent of 3-5 years of advanced experience in multi-state garnishment and payroll processing and reconciliation, required. - In-depth knowledge of garnishment laws and requirements, including knowledge of prioritization rules (e.g., child support vs. tax levies) - Understanding how tax deductions interact with garnishments and disposable earnings. - Understanding of end-to-end payroll cycles (biweekly, and weekly), Gross to Net Calculations, Pre-Tax and Post Tax deductions - Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Word) required, including lookups, pivot tables, mail merge, and other core functionality. - Workday experience preferred - High school diploma or GED, required. - Bachelor’s degree, associate’s degree, vocational or technical school degree, preferred Responsibilities: - Review, interpret, and set up wage attachment, levy, and child support orders received from federal, state, and local jurisdictions. Ensure all garnishments are applied and administered in compliance with applicable state and federal laws and regulations. - Analyze and review garnishment reports to perform monthly reconciliations and resolve any variances. - Employee Termination Notices to agencies - Arizona Non-Exempt Earnings Statements - Employee & Agency Inquires using HR Acuity Case Management System Responsible for timely set-up and review of garnishment orders in the Workday system, notification to appropriate parties (employees and agencies), and timely remittance of payment. - Responsible for scanning all documentation to Workday employee records and maintaining a paperless environment. - Responsible for reconciliation of Workday setup, remittance and agency payment posting, including resolution of any variances or exceptions. - Maintain garnishment rules in the system to determine proper withholding from employee wages according to state rules and garnishment type, including applicable start and stop dates and other information contained within the order. - Answer and resolve payroll and garnishment inquiries to provide accurate information in a timely and concise manner to courts and agencies, using HR Acuity Case Management System. - Process any refund checks to employees and post payment with Workday timely and accurately. - Research all garnishment issues and respond to terminations, payroll frequency changes, withholding exceptions. - Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to communicate with internal and external customers and ability to assist in conflict resolution. - Ability to work independently to resolve issues proactively with minimal supervision. - Flexibility, multi-tasking, attention to details, creative thinking, and strong organizational skills are required to meet strict deadlines and manage other projects. - Elevated levels of self-motivation with an ability to manage a significant workload in a fast past environment. - Strong emphasis on accuracy and quality - Ability to multi-task and coordinate a series of different jobs simultaneously; ability to work under pressure and to strict deadlines while maintaining a positive attitude. - Willingness to learn new tasks and be flexible with a positive attitude; team player; ability to work in larger staff setting - Flexibility to work overtime when needed. - Other duties would include special projects as assigned Why AccentCare?
