Job Description

Software Development Lead – Cloud, AI, UX Modernization

General Dynamics Information Technology

• Lead Java-based development, architecture/design, and ensure quality standards • Partner with product owners to define requirements and deliver prototypes • Develop responsive web applications and reusable components • Optimize applications for performance, scalability, and security in cloud environments • Implement UI/UX designs using HCD principles • Provide technical leadership, mentorship, and code reviews • Design and maintain end-to-end reporting solutions integrating front-end and back-end systems

Job Requirements

  • 10 + years of related experience
  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or related field OR equivalent experience
  • 7+ years in software development and UX design
  • Expertise in Java/Spring Boot, Kafka, REST APIs, Kubernetes, CI/CD pipelines
  • Strong knowledge of Agile/DevSecOps principles
  • Familiarity with security best practices and compliance standards
  • AI-enabled development and integration experience
  • Experience with AI/ML tools
