Senior Software Engineer, eCommerce – Magento 2
MB Outdoor GmbH
• Gather requirements from business teams, assess them technically, and agree on realistic timelines • Manage and ensure quality of collaboration with external development agencies, perform code reviews, and accept deliverables • Develop and maintain Magento 2 modules and shop features across multiple Magento instances and countries • Make architecture and design decisions for scalable, maintainable codebases • Support international expansion (multi-store, multi-language, multi-currency, country-specific tax and shipping rules) • Establish and leverage AI in development processes
Job Requirements
- At least 3 years of software development experience, preferably in eCommerce
- Solid PHP skills and confident object-oriented programming
- Deep understanding of the Magento 2 module system
- Strong communication skills: able to present technical topics clearly to non-technical stakeholders and independently coordinate requirements with business teams
- Very good German (at least C1) for communication with internal business teams and management
- Good English language skills, written and spoken, for ticketing and collaboration with external agencies
