Agent & Broker Product Owner
Element
• Serve as the primary Product Owner for Agent and Broker (AB) digital products and tools. • Act as the primary liaison between the development team and the AB business team, ensuring clear communication of priorities, requirements, and delivery expectations. • Provide client engagement support participating in stakeholder meetings, demos, and planning sessions. • Manage and prioritize the product roadmap, ensuring alignment with business objectives, user needs, and compliance requirements. • Be fully dedicated to AB solution refinement, continuously shaping, refining, and clarifying requirements for development readiness. • Define, maintain, and prioritize the product backlog, ensuring user stories are well-groomed, clearly defined, and actionable. • Translate business and regulatory requirements into epics, features, and user stories with clear acceptance criteria. • Collaborate closely with engineering, UX/UI, QA, and DevSecOps teams to ensure successful and timely delivery of capabilities. • Facilitate Agile ceremonies including sprint planning, backlog grooming, sprint reviews, and retrospectives in conjunction with the scrum master. • Ensure product decisions align with federal compliance standards, including security (e.g., NIST), privacy, and accessibility (Section 508). • Monitor product performance and user feedback to drive continuous improvement and informed prioritization. • Support release planning, deployment readiness, and stakeholder communication for product increments.
Job Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Business, Information Systems, Computer Science, or related field (or equivalent experience).
- 8+ years of experience in product management or product ownership roles.
- At least 5+ years of experience in insurance, financial services, healthcare, or other regulated industries.
- Demonstrated experience working on agent and broker platforms, portals, or marketplace ecosystems.
- Proven experience supporting government or federal IT contracting environments.
- Strong experience managing product backlogs, roadmaps, and Agile delivery processes.
- Strong communication and stakeholder management skills.
- Ability to balance competing priorities in a fast-paced, regulated environment.
- Strong analytical thinking and decision-making capability.
- Proven ability to lead through influence and collaboration.
- Comfortable engaging directly with senior stakeholders and technical teams.
- Experience writing detailed user stories, epics, and acceptance criteria.
- Familiarity with system integrations, APIs, and enterprise digital platforms.
- Strong understanding of Agile methodologies (Scrum required; SAFe preferred).
- US Citizenship or Permanent Residency required.
- Must reside in the Continental US.
- Depending on the government agency, specific requirements may include public trust background check or security clearance.
