GIS Product Manager
Avolve
• Be the Subject Matter Expert for GIS & Esri Toolsets such as but not limited to ArcGIS Pro, AGOL, ArcGIS Living Atlas, ArcGIS Urban, ArcGIS Enterprise, ArcGIS Developer Account and Experience Builder. • Be the driver of product changes keeping our tech stack and the Esri stack in mind, to develop optimal solutions that can work in an array of Esri tools and scale as we grow. • Align Avolve functionality with Esri GTM strategy and licensing to maximize co-selling opportunities. • Oversee our Esri-compatible Feature Service and other derivative Esri-focused solutions. • Gain a deep understanding of customer experience, foresee customer use cases, identify and fill product gaps, and generate new ideas that grow market share, improve customer experience, and drive growth. • Be the representative of the customer's needs and communicate workflows to the Product & Engineering teams. • Become an expert on our client use case and gain deep understanding of all of our spatial datasets - being able to understand how our project data will work in GIS use cases, a penchant for spatial analysis using multiple relevant datasets joined at the parcel level. • Work with Director of Product and the sales team to drive more product and solution opportunities with our Esri partners. • Translate product strategy into detailed technical requirements and prototypes. • Work closely with engineering teams to deliver quick time-to-market and optimal resources. • Work closely with support on client issues on relevant products and be able to QA/QC and solve problems with the technical teams. • Drive product launches including working with external partners, executives, Engineering, and other product management team members. • Act as a product champion to build awareness and understanding. • Represent the company by collecting customer and partner feedback on company products and services. • Create buy-in for the product vision both internally and with key external partners.
Job Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in business or related field, or the equivalent combination of education, training, and experience.
- 6-8 years (minimum) of hands-on technical experience using Esri tools.
- Primarily ArcGIS Pro, AGOL, ArcGIS Living Atlas, ArcGIS Enterprise, ArcGIS Developer account and their suite of widgets.
- 1-3 years of product management or project management experience.
- Understanding Esri licensing requirements and GTM best practices.
- Ability to work with various feature services and spatial datasets, load them into ArcGIS, run spatial joins, analysis and geoprocessing workflows within the Esri environment.
- Comfortable working with large datasets and file-based GIS analysis.
- Ability to be a liaison between sales & technical teams for their relevant products.
- Strong organizational & prioritization skills - ability to manage & straddle multiple projects & priorities, timelines & ad hoc projects in a fast-paced environment.
- Flexibility for approximately 15% travel.
- Strong communication and collaboration skills to work across cross-functional teams.
