Role Description A Global Financial Media Client is seeking a Financial Services Editorial Writer (Freelance, Remote) with strong expertise in banking, fintech, payments, and financial services to support the production of editorial and advertorial content for a global financial media platform. The immediate focus of this engagement is on editorial and advertorial articles over the next 2–3 weeks. - Write and edit advertorials, feature stories, and editorial content based on award submissions and supporting client materials. - Transform banking and fintech case studies into clear, engaging, publication-style articles. - Produce content covering: - Retail banking - SME banking - Wealth management and WealthTech - Transaction banking - Fintech and payments - Banking technology and innovation - Review and refine interview-based or contributed content where required. - Collaborate closely with editorial teams to meet tight turnaround timelines. - Manage multiple assignments simultaneously while maintaining editorial quality and consistency. Qualifications - Proven experience writing content related to banking, fintech, financial services, or B2B industries. - Strong English writing and editing skills with excellent attention to detail. - Ability to convert technical or corporate source materials into polished editorial-style content. - Comfortable working in a fast-paced environment with high article volumes and tight deadlines. - Strong understanding of banking and financial services terminology preferred. - Previous experience with advertorials, feature writing, executive interviews, or financial editorial work is highly advantageous. - Ability to work independently with minimal supervision.

You are successful when: - You have researched missing television program synopses using broadcaster and official source materials, ensuring full understanding of content requirements. - You have reviewed, proofread, and edited synopsis content to ensure accuracy in spelling, grammar, punctuation, and US English standards. - You have verified all program descriptions for factual correctness, completeness, and editorial consistency before entry. - You have created, updated, and entered synopsis records into internal systems. - You have identified gaps, inconsistencies, and duplicates in program metadata and resolved them through research and correction. - The data delivered is accurate, complete, consistent, and error-free, meeting quality standards and deadlines. Qualifications - Have a university degree in a relevant area, e.g. English, Journalism, Mass Communication, Business, Data, or a related field. - Have excellent proofreading and editing skills with strong attention to detail. - Work very structured, and are so detail oriented that you can spot errors from a mile away. - Love working at a fast pace. - Are very comfortable with data search, computers, and databases. - Get energy from learning something new and making yourself better every day. - Have great collaborative skills that make others love working with you. - Are passionate about our product and what great metadata can do. - Show a strong willingness to get your hands dirty and a strong drive to succeed. - Are able to thrive in a fast-paced environment where no day is the same. - Want to grow a career in Simply.TV. Practicalities - Reports to: Operations Manager - Content Development - Employment Type: Freelancer - Location: Mexico - Type of Collaboration: Freelancer setup (Fulltime-40hrs/week) - Collaboration based on a freelancer set-up is up to 1,000 USD per month on a full-time allocation basis (40 hours per week).
