Role Description - Write new publications and materials focused on patient safety and risk management for current policyholders, potential prospects, and the general public. - Provide actionable information on prevalent and emerging risk management issues in various healthcare settings. - Perform comprehensive research on risk management and patient safety topics to identify credible sources, develop a thorough understanding of issues, and craft high-quality materials under the MedPro brand. - Support Risk Solutions’ educational programming, including substantive editing, copyediting, content recommendations, and formatting/layout review of webinars, interactive programs, and text-based materials. - Provide editorial support for tools and materials developed by Risk Solutions’ consultants and leadership, including facilitating materials through the production process. - Help generate and review routine internal and external communications related to Risk Solutions’ publications, resources, and services. - Support Risk Solutions social media posting, including generating posts, managing posts within social media client, and setting up campaigns. - Help manage and track content on medpro.com in support of digital strategy, including working within a content management system and providing final quality control and sign off. - Help support the editorial schedule and calendar for updating, reviewing, and maintaining existing content based on a quarterly cycle. - Attend routine remote meetings with internal stakeholders to discuss priorities and emerging issues as well as provide publications updates. - Support implementation and enhancement of information systems and platforms. - Participate in departmental standardization and quality improvement efforts. Qualifications - Bachelor’s degree in Professional Writing, English, Journalism, or Communications. - 7-10 years professional writing and editing experience in a medical or healthcare role. - Ability to fact check content and research topics using reputable and credible sources. - Proven success writing and editing content for different platforms and audiences. - Experience developing short- and long-form content from initial draft through final production. - Experience performing quality control on digital and print materials. - Self-motivation and ability to work independently, manage multiple projects, and meet deadlines. - Ability to adhere to style guides, branding guides, workflow processes, and standard operating procedures. - Proficiency in Microsoft Word and PowerPoint; working knowledge of Microsoft Excel and SharePoint; familiarity with digital content management tools. - Proficiency using templates and creating and applying styles in Microsoft Word documents. - Familiarity with layout and design principles and best practices. - Strong organizational and interpersonal skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively with team members and subject matter experts. - Strong critical thinking and problem-solving skills; capable of addressing unforeseen issues and pivoting on priorities.
