Senior Data Scientist
Veeam Software
• Design and implement data science, ML, and AI solutions to support strategic decision-making • Conduct deep-dive ad hoc analyses—both quantitative and qualitative—to inform business hypotheses and guide improvements • Contribute to cross-functional projects involving data science, ML, and AI engineering use cases • Develop knowledge bases from structured and unstructured data sources to support RAG systems and AI agents • Build data applications using frameworks like Streamlit to provide internal stakeholders access to intelligent AI capabilities • Help develop and refine processes to ensure business solutions align with strategic goals • Partner with stakeholders to deliver actionable insights and recommendations • Continuously improve existing processes and identify opportunities for efficiency gains
Job Requirements
- Proficiency in Python and SQL
- Experience building scalable data science solutions (feature engineering, model training/testing, evaluation, deployment, ML operations)
- Familiarity with data engineering concepts (data modeling, ETL/ELT, pipelines, storage optimization, governance)
- Understanding of software development practices (version control, APIs, testing, deployment)
- Experience integrating LLMs into code (prompt engineering, RAG systems, MCP)
- Familiarity with data visualization tools (Tableau, Power BI, Qlik, or equivalent)
- Strong problem-solving, communication, and analytical skills
- Technical writing experience
- Hands-on experience with Databricks or PySpark
- Familiarity with project management tools (Jira, Trello, Confluence)
