Dual Fuel SMART Meter Installer

Role Description We’re looking for Dual Fuel SMART Meter Installers to join our growing team in and around the Kilmarnock area. If you’re looking for more flexibility, real variety and a role where you can make a genuine difference, this is for you. Here’s a taste of what you’ll be doing: - Visiting customers who may be struggling with their energy bills, helping them take control through tailored advice and installing SMART PAYG meters where appropriate. - Investigating reports of tampered meters and making them safe. - Delivering excellent face-to-face customer service. - Discussing and agreeing payment solutions with customers. - Exchanging meters to PAYG or classic prepay. - Gathering customer and property information. - Leading warrant teams (when required) to safely disconnect meters. - Planning efficient daily routes to reduce carbon footprint. - Recording visit outcomes on mobile devices. - Uploading job data securely (monthly broadband allowance included) including Bodyworn Video footage uploads. Qualifications - MOCOPA/CMA1/MET2 qualified. - Strong customer service and communication skills. - A full UK/EU driving license (up to 6 points acceptable). - Must be willing to undertake 3-Phase electricity training with travel and overnight stays during training. - Comfortable working independently in the field. - Reside in or near Kilmarnock. - Broadband access at home. Requirements - Competitive base salary of £40,652 reviewed annually. - Quarterly performance based bonus through our Field Incentive Scheme, up to £4,800pa. - Potential Career Progression – training may be provided for: 3 phase meter installation. - Full equipment provided: - Branded van and fuel card. - Smartphone and tablet. - Uniform, PPE and tools. Troubleshooting & Sustainment : - Support troubleshooting and root cause analysis of automation system issues impacting material movement. - Assist in implementing corrective and preventive actions to improve system reliability and up time. - Support preventive maintenance activities and system health monitoring. - Should have well versed experience in servo, drives, controllers, conveyors , r obot, sensors, mechanical systems, lifts, AGV, ARV etc... Key Skills To excel in this role, you should possess: - Proficiency in PLC programming will be added advantage - Experience in machine maintenance. - Expertise in teaching/programming robots/cobots. - Familiarity with material handling systems and conveyor upkeep. - Demonstrated background in the automotive and/or automation sectors.
