Senior Mobile Engineer, Android

Circle Medical

• Own the technical direction of the Circle Medical Android app keeping it stable, secure, and aligned with iOS feature parity. • Implement, test, and maintain patient-facing features with a focus on security, scalability, and performance. • Collaborate with design, product, and clinical teams to create delightful, intuitive user experiences. • Collaborate with iOS and Fullstack engineer(s) to develop features across multiple platforms (ie, web, ios, android). • Maintain and improve the CI/CD release pipeline to ensure reliable, high-quality weekly releases. • Write secure, HIPAA-compliant software that patients and clinicians can trust. • Contribute to engineering culture, hiring, and best practices.

Job Requirements

  • 7+ years of professional experience as a Mobile Software Engineer, with significant Android expertise.
  • Proven experience shipping and maintaining commercial Android applications at scale.
  • Strong Kotlin fundamentals and Jetpack Compose proficiency, with comfort working alongside legacy XML/View-based screens during our ongoing migration.
  • Strong understanding of modern architectures (MVVM, reactive programming).
  • Familiarity with Dagger (the DI framework currently in use).
  • A commitment to testing, quality, and engineering best practices.
  • A strong eye for clean, user-friendly Android design and UX.
  • Comfort working with AI-assisted development tools (Cursor, Claude Code) as part of daily workflow.
