Emergent Software
• Own the monthly, quarterly, and annual close process • Prepare GAAP-compliant financial statements • Maintain accurate revenue, margin, and expense reporting • Own and maintain ASC 606 revenue recognition policies • Review customer contracts for accounting implications • Manage accounting operations (AR, AP, GL) • Maintain internal controls and balance sheet reconciliations • Serve as a finance owner within NetSuite • Partner cross-functionally with operations, sales, and leadership • Provide ad-hoc financial analysis as needed
Job Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or Finance
- 5+ years of progressive accounting experience, including 2+ years as a Controller or Assistant Controller
- 2+ years of experience in a services-based organization
- Detail-oriented, highly organized, and able to thrive in a fast-paced, scaling environment
- Strong understanding of project-based accounting
- Ability to manage a full close process
- Strong attention to detail and communication skills
- NetSuite experience preferred
- CPA or CMA license preferred
- Hands-on ASC 606 implementation experience preferred
