Role Description The Cadence Application Analyst - Remote role is responsible for configuring, documenting, testing, modifying, and maintaining software applications. Key responsibilities include: - Configuring applications by translating business requirements into software specifications. - Supporting Epic applications across both outpatient and inpatient care settings. - Partnering closely with business and operational groups to implement new solutions and provide ongoing incident support. - Participating in application upgrades and infrastructure-related changes in collaboration with vendors and internal IT partners. Job functions include: - Configuring, modifying, testing, and troubleshooting existing programs/software. - Analyzing end user data and business needs to recommend changes and optimize program/system performance. - Developing deep application knowledge within specified focus areas. - Writing and maintaining application systems documentation. - Participating in IT workflow processes including Incident and Problem Management, IT Service Request Management, Change Control Management, and IT Project Management. - Translating business requirements to detail-level system specifications and evaluating against current system capabilities. - Unit testing all code and programs prior to releasing them to the quality assurance team. - Resolving all unit test issues in a timely manner and assisting the quality assurance team in identifying test cases. - Providing implementation/production support as required. - Evaluating and understanding dependencies between applications. - Supporting implementation planning for application program requirements. - Providing excellent customer service to end-users and technical operations staff. - Assisting senior development staff with technology integration. - Working as a member of an application team and supporting multiple concurrent work efforts. - Participating in creating and implementing improvements to achieve clinical, satisfaction, and/or efficiency outcomes. - Providing ongoing operational system support and resolving escalated issues. - Interacting with vendors on problem determination, resolution, issue tracking, upgrades, and fixes. - Participating in after-hours support as determined by IT Leadership. - Providing services centered on the needs and safety of patients and families. Qualifications - Bachelor’s degree or combination of education and related work experience. - 3 years of IT application experience. - If supporting Epic, certification in core applications is required within six months of employment. Requirements - Bachelor’s degree in IT field (preferred). - Experience within the Healthcare Industry (preferred). - Certifications and experience relative to the role (preferred).
