What you'll be doing As our AI Transformation Lead, you'll play a pivotal role in shaping the future of Virgin Australia by embedding AI into our business processes and workflows. This role operates at the intersection of business analysis, AI solution delivery, and change management, ensuring AI adoption delivers measurable impact across the organisation. This is a highly visible leadership position that reports into our Head of AI (who reports into our CIO). You will have two direct reports, as well as contractors as required. You will: - Identify and shape AI use cases in collaboration with business SMEs. - Redesign workflows for effective human-AI collaboration. - Partner with engineering teams to deliver AI solutions. - Drive adoption and continuous optimisation post-launch. - Embed the voice of the customer in AI solution design and establish feedback loops for continuous improvement. - Ensure compliance across data privacy, security, and safety policies. - Lead change management and training initiatives to embed new ways of working. You'll be great in this role if you have… - Bachelor's degree in Business, Information Systems, or Digital Transformation (or equivalent experience). - Strong understanding of modern AI concepts (LLMs, RAG, agents, prompting strategies). - 5+ years delivering technology-enabled transformation or digital product delivery in complex organisations. - Proven experience taking AI or automation initiatives from concept through to production and adoption. - Excellent stakeholder engagement and communication skills. - Familiarity with compliance, governance, and operational resilience. Desirable: - Certifications in change management (e.g., Prosci) and AI technologies (AWS, Google, Microsoft). - Experience in aviation or operationally intensive environments.
