We're on the hunt for a new member of our Analysis and Improvement team to work with real-world mining data sets, working directly customers turn their data into actionable insights. As a Process Improvement Analyst, you'll be responsible for understanding our customers' unique situations, conducting analyses, and collaborating with customers to interpret their data and highlight opportunities for improvement. The primary product you'll be working with is Titan 3330, a payload management system, with the view to expand our offering over time. This role is perfect for someone who thrives on problem-solving, loves switching between office-based data analysis and customer facing work, and doesn't mind a bit of domestic travel. The work involves a mix of hybrid office work (from home and in our Cannon Hill office) and travel to site. This is a mid-level role where we're hoping you will help shape the future of our Analysis and Improvement service. Key responsibilities include: - Engaging with customers in a highly collaborative and consultative capacity, understanding their onsite requirements and constrains, and critical data into actionable outcomes. - Effectively communicating complex data findings to mining clients in a clear manner, identifying trends, anomalies, and areas for improvement through comprehensive data analysis. - Developing customer presentations that effectively communicate data insights and improvement recommendations. - Collaborating with CR internal Stakeholders to provide data analyses insights to support sales objectives, pre-sales data analysis, support sales presentations and sales demonstrations. - Developing reports summarising data analysis. - Maintaining accurate documentation of analysis methodologies, datasets and outcomes. To be successful in this role you will have/be: - Experience in data analysis and developing key insights and recommendations that deliver tangible outcomes. - Excellent communication and presentation skills. - Specific experience with SQL and Python. - Ability to travel to customer sites across Australia. - Confident in public speaking and presenting to technical customers from the CEO level down. - Degree qualified with a degree in Bachelor of Engineering (Mining, Mechatronic, Mechanical, Process, Software, Electrical) or Bachelor of Computer Science (Data Science/Data Analytics), or similar The following experience would be advantageous but not required: - Strong proficiency in data visualization tools and statistical analysis software. - Mining experience with an understanding of open cut mining specifically truck & shovel/load haul practices. - Experience leading and executing improvement initiatives, translating ideas into plans that are feasible and customer focussed. - Experience with Power BI and/or Tibco Spotfire. - Experience with machine learning libraries eg. • The Data Business Analyst acts as the key liaison between client stakeholders and delivery teams on data programmes/projects. • Write detailed user stories and acceptance criteria by breaking down Epics for integration and reporting use cases. • Lead feature / data product kickoffs to ensure business context and delivery alignment. • Facilitate estimation sessions and story readiness to support sprint planning. • Collaborate closely with developers and testers to validate “done” stories and ensure Client sign-off. • Partner with technical leads, client SMEs to ensure requirements are accurate, complete, and technically feasible. • Support the Client in managing and prioritizing the product backlog to ensure alignment with business goals. • Conduct backlog refinement sessions with the team to clarify requirements, dependencies, and priorities. • Ensure stories meet the teamʼs definition of ready before sprint planning. • Track and communicate backlog health and sprint progress through Agile tools (e.g., Jira). • Identify and escalate risks or blockers impacting backlog items or delivery flow. • Maintain visibility of dependencies and ensure alignment between epics, features, and stories. • Act as the liaison between client stakeholders and delivery teams, ensuring clear communication of needs and priorities. • Support stakeholder alignment and facilitate sign-offs at key delivery stages. • Work collaboratively with Account Managers, Program and Project Managers, Tech Leads, Developers and Testers to address client pain points and deliver outcomes.
