Role Description The Senior Coding Educator identifies opportunities to improve provider documentation and creates an education plan tailored to each assigned provider. You will report to the Manager, MRA Coding Education. - Create and execute the risk adjustment strategy for each provider group. - Analyze data and reporting and provide educational sessions with providers aimed at quality of care, documentation, and coding improvements. - Collaborate with relationship owners and HQRI. - Monitor and develop strategy with Coding educator and leader; tailor provider group webinars and discussions based on various MRA topics. - Create compliant PowerPoint presentations tailored to group strategy. Role Description Coding Specialists are an important part of the Team at CorroHealth. The Coding Team Member will provide CPT, HCPCS and ICD-10-CM coding for a minimum of 1-4 specialties. Responsibilities include coding Professional Fee charts in several specialties for clinics such as Family Medicine, Pediatrics, Internal Medicine, etc. - Work from home and be independent in coding skills. - Provide various components of coding services to support clients. - Calculate ProFee E/M levels using an algorithm created by the company. - Recognize critical care cases by patient acuity. - Work on claim edits and denials. - Apply ICD-10-CM diagnosis codes to the highest level of specificity available. - Accurately apply diagnosis and procedure codes utilizing ICD-10-CM, ICD-10-PCS, CPT®, and HCPCS. - Interpret coding guidelines for accurate code assignment. - Identify the importance of documentation on code assignment and reimbursement impact. - Align conduct with AHIMA's Standards of Ethical Coding and the Company’s Code of Ethics and Business Conduct. - Comply with all internal policies and procedures. - Actively participate in Company provided training and education. - Maintain at least one credential through either AAPC or AHIMA. - Ensure compliance with all privacy and security rules and regulations.
