In turn, we will provide you with the students, online-teaching tools, structure, and resources that you will need to teach with confidence. We are looking for top quality teachers who can commit to a fixed schedule of at least two classes a week, starting in July. We pay $75 for each 90-minute lesson (covering preparation and teaching time). The first time you teach each lesson, we might ask you to record a preview video (without students), for which we'll pay an extra $25. We focus on teaching concrete skills that help our students succeed in their learning endeavors. Benefits
- Compensation
- 66 USD per hour for each new lesson: $100 per 90-minute lesson.
- o Payment is based on the actual teaching of a lesson. This does not include time spent reviewing materials and/or recording a lesson previews (without students) to show that you are fully prepared to teach each class.
- 50 USD per hour for each repeated lesson (i.e. lessons you have previously taught): 75 USD per 90-minute lesson
- Remuneration is through Wise (wise.com), monthly, between the 10th and the 12th of the month.

Title: Faculty Services & Law Journals Librarian Location: Chicago United States Job Description: Department: Law Library Faculty Services and Law Journals Librarian The Pritzker Legal Research Center of Northwestern Pritzker School of Law invites applications for a full-time position of Faculty Services & Law Journals Librarian. Reporting to the Deputy Director, the Faculty Services & Law Journals Librarian will join a team of experienced reference librarians who provide research support services to the law school and university communities. The Faculty Services & Law Journals Librarian will provide administrative support and strategic direction for the activities, production, and management of seven student-edited journals with a legacy of over 100 years of scholarship. This is a hybrid position, subject to law school and university guidelines and operational needs, that currently permits up to two remote days a week, with standard Monday-Friday business hours. Specific duties of this position include the following: - Coordinates onboarding and initial outreach to new faculty members about library services and resources. - Participates in the faculty-librarian liaison program to provide research support to law school faculty members and consults with the Deputy Director to maintain the faculty-librarian liaison list for the PLRC. - Oversees the Pritzker Research Fellows program, which involves hiring and overseeing student fellows in providing research assistance on short-term research projects to faculty members. - Provides in-person and online reference services, including developing tutorials and guides. - Participates in educational and instructional programs, including class visits to the first-year research program, guest lectures and presentations, and informal programming such as workshops and library tours. - Oversees the publishing enterprise for the seven student-edited journals, including printing and publishing issues, author publication agreements and reprint requests, legal issues involving copyright and licensing content, and licenses with legal information vendors. - Provides direction and guidance to student editors on all aspects of journal production, including but not limited to, board management, production workflow and challenges, student conflicts, author disputes, compliance with policies, and other issues as they arise. - Administers and certifies journal credit during the fall and spring semesters. - Oversees and manages the annual provisional process and write-on process for prospective members with support by the Journals Program Assistant and Deputy Director. - Supervises the Journals Program Assistant in carrying out journal administrative support duties. - Advises journals on sharing communications about published issues, submissions cycles, symposia, and other events with the faculty, staff, and student listservs as appropriate. - Oversees board transitions, monitors journals activities, and provides training and guidance for students to run symposia, meetings, and other events. - In collaboration with the library's Financial Coordinator and Journals Program Assistant, oversees and manages the journals' budgets. - In collaboration with the Deputy Director, creates consistent processes and policies for all journals to best support the overall objectives of the law school. - Oversees compliance of journals and necessary reporting. - Advises on new journals initiatives and other journal-related academic activities, including but not limited to, credit for journals, note and comment academic compliance, and Lowden-Wigmore and Bienen Prizes. - Coordinates hiring, onboarding, and payment of summer clerks with Law School HR. - Facilitates maintenance of and updates to the journals' websites. - Establishes and fosters contacts with other professionals by participating in committee work and activities at Northwestern Pritzker Law, Northwestern University, and professional organizations.
