Job Description

SOX Analyst, IT

Once Upon a Farm

• Support the execution of the company’s SOX program with a focus on IT General Controls (ITGCs). • Perform walkthroughs with IT and system owners to identify key controls and document them in risk-control matrices. • Design and update IT process narratives, flowcharts, and test plans to reflect current practices. • Execute ITGC and application control testing in accordance with PCAOB and external auditor standards. • Track and validate remediation efforts for IT control deficiencies, ensuring timely resolution. • Assist in annual SOX scoping and IT risk assessment activities. • Assist in new system implementations, upgrades, or significant IT changes for impact on SOX controls. • Partner with IT, Finance, and Operations teams to ensure consistent IT control execution and awareness. • Support internal and external audit requests, providing clear and accurate IT documentation.

Job Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Information Systems, Computer Science, Accounting, or related field.
  • CISA, CISM, or CISSP certification preferred.
  • 1–3+ years of experience in SOX IT compliance, IT audit, or IT risk management at a public company.
  • Experience with key ITGC areas (access management, change management, IT operations).
  • Familiarity with ERP systems (Sage X3), cloud environments, and automated control testing highly preferred.
  • Excellent documentation, organizational, and project management skills.
  • Ability to work cross-functionally, influence stakeholders, and communicate effectively.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with high attention to detail.
  • Solid knowledge of Microsoft Suite, Outlook, Slack, and other professional platforms.
  • Up to 10% travel required: Although this role is a remote work-from-home position, we “Farmers” do meet as a company and/or as a department a few times a year. Anticipate possible travel up to a few times each quarter.
