Location: All Locations in the United States Work Arrangement: Remote, In-office, or Hybrid A Day in the Life A typical day in the life of a Governmental Advisory Services Senior Associate with Eide Bailly might include the following: - Contribute daily to Government client engagements, communicate with clients, meet client deadlines, and propose solutions to client challenges. - Utilize Microsoft Excel advanced concepts to analyze large amounts of financial data and prepare complex schedules and reports. - Apply knowledge and understanding of industry standards and best practices as it relates to the areas of finance and accounting in order to implement and adhere to agency policies, procedures, and financial reporting requirements. - Routine assessments of processes, procedures, internal controls, and transactions in order to provide recommendations for improvements. - Assist with accounting and financial reporting projects, including accounts payable processing, bank and other balance sheet account reconciliations, monthly and quarterly journal entries, month end and year end closing duties, budget to actual analysis, and financial reporting. Who You Are - You have a Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, Economics, or a related field. - You have 3+ years of related accounting experience. - You have a CPA license, a Master's degree, or another relevant professional certification, or are actively working towards one of these (preferred). - You are an intellectually curious, solutions-oriented person, who enjoys working independently and in small groups to develop unique solutions to challenging problems. - You enjoy learning about public agency business processes for a variety of government clients. - You enjoy the challenge of having every day be a "different experience." - You are a multi-tasking master, and there has never been a deadline you could not meet. - You take a creative approach when applying analytical and critical thinking skills to develop solutions to complex problems. - You hold yourself to the highest professional standards and maintain strict client confidentiality.
