Who you are Trilogy Innovations is seeking a Senior DevOps Engineer with experience in Java (Spring Boot), Kubernetes/OpenShift, and cloud-native architectures. You have a strong background in building CI/CD pipelines, working with containerization tools (Docker/Podman), and supporting event-driven systems. The ideal candidate has experience with technologies such as Apache Kafka, GitOps tools (GitLab, ArgoCD, etc.), and databases including SQL, NoSQL, and Elasticsearch. Experience in Agile environments and an active Secret clearance are required. On-Call Expectations To support critical system needs, this role participates in a rotating on-call schedule for one week out of every four. During your on-call week, you’ll be part of a responsive support team that helps ensure system reliability and continuity. - Acknowledge on-call contacts (phone, text, or email) within 15 minutes - Remain within reasonable access to your secure work laptop while on call - Log in and begin assessing or troubleshooting requests within 60 minutes of notification The on-call rotation is structured to provide balance while ensuring our federal partners receive timely, dependable support when it matters most. What you will do: - Develop Java applications and microservices within an event driven architecture using Spring Boot - Interface with various databases from Elasticsearch, NoSQL, and SQL databases. - Create and update application building pipelines. - Deploy and configure services using infrastructure as a service provider (e.g., Amazon Web Services, OpenShift). - Debug Kubernetes (OpenShift) clusters and microservices. - Install and manage open-source monitoring tools. - Architecture for continuous integration and deployment, and continuous monitoring. - Use and work with containerization technologies (e.g., Docker, PodMan). What you bring: We require: - 8 years of experience. Relevant IT or technology certificate(s) or certification(s) may be substituted for up to 2 years of experience. - Bachelor’s degree or Associates with a total of 10 years of experience. - Secret Clearance - Experience working within Agile Framework. - 5+ years of experience Java Object-Oriented Programming. - 5+ years experience with Kubernetes and containers; automating the deployment, scaling, and management of containerized applications. - Experience with Cloud-native architecture. - Event-driven architectures. - 5+ years experience with the following: - Apache Kafka - Pub/Sub (Publish, subscribe) - Streaming - Event sources - Running GitOps (GitLab, Git, Bitbucket, ArgoCD, Tekton, etc.) within version control tools. - Atlassian Tool Suite (Jira, Confluence, Bitbucket) for version control management.
