Role Description At Claritev, we are revolutionizing healthcare through innovative solutions and data-driven insights. As the Director of AI, and Head of AI for Network, you will lead the initiative to embed AI across Claritev's provider network, unlocking new value across one of the largest healthcare ecosystems in the country. This role is not about incremental optimization—it is about building from first principles: defining how AI transforms provider engagement, network intelligence, and payment workflows at scale. You will spearhead the evolution of our AI capabilities, leveraging generative AI and advanced analytics to move from experimentation to production-grade solutions. You will drive R&D, architect AI-powered products, and shape the long-term AI strategy for a space with significant untapped potential, while mentoring talent and establishing best-in-class practices. Qualifications - Bachelor’s in a quantitative field; Master’s or PhD preferred. - 10+ years in Data Science / AI. - 5+ years in R&D or advanced analytics innovation. - Experience building 0→1 AI products or platforms, ideally in ambiguous or greenfield environments. - 3+ years mentoring or managing technical talent. - Deep expertise in modeling, algorithms, and statistical methods. - Strong proficiency in Python and modern AI/GenAI ecosystems. - Experience operationalizing AI systems at scale. - Ability to identify high-value opportunities in complex systems (e.g., provider networks, payments, or marketplaces). - Strong product and systems thinking mindset. - Problem-solving, critical thinking, creativity, and strong communication skills. - Preferred experience in healthcare, provider networks, or large-scale operational systems. - Build and mentor a high-performing AI team; foster a culture of experimentation and innovation. - Ensure adherence to HIPAA and data privacy standards. Requirements - Lead the design and deployment of AI solutions across Claritev's provider network, identifying high-impact use cases in a largely untapped space. - Leverage generative AI to streamline development workflows, accelerate experimentation, and enable scalable deployment. - Drive applied research to develop reusable components, frameworks, and best practices tailored to provider network intelligence and healthcare payments. - Partner with business and network stakeholders to identify and launch net-new AI-driven products and capabilities. - Own end-to-end delivery of AI initiatives—from concept through production—within a fast-moving, ambiguous environment. - Translate complex provider network dynamics into actionable AI opportunities through close cross-functional engagement. - Ensure solutions are transparent, compliant, and aligned with responsible AI standards, particularly within healthcare contexts. Benefits - Medical, dental and vision coverage with low deductible & copay. - Life insurance. - Short and long-term disability. - Paid Parental Leave. - 401(k) + match. - Employee Stock Purchase Plan. - Generous Paid Time Off – accrued based on years of service. - 10 paid company holidays. - Tuition reimbursement. - Flexible Spending Account. - Employee Assistance Program. - Sick time benefits – for eligible employees, one hour of sick time for every 30 hours worked, up to a maximum accrual of 40 hours per calendar year, unless the laws of the state in which the employee is located provide for more generous sick time benefits. Company Description Claritev is an Equal Opportunity Employer and complies with all applicable laws and regulations. Qualified applicants will receive consideration for employment without regard to age, race, color, religion, gender, sexual orientation, gender identity, national origin, disability or protected veteran status.
