Job Description: Meade is looking for a talented Electrical Designer I to design & draft electrical engineering construction plans for data centers and other high-profile commercial construction projects. Prior experience with electrical drafting work is preferred but will also consider mechanical, plumbing, structural or architectural backgrounds. Job Duties - Develop, draft, and publish electrical construction documents for data centers and high-profile commercial projects. - Perform drafting work under the direction of project managers and engineers, ensuring alignment with project requirements. - Ensure projects are completed accurately, efficiently, and within established deadlines. - Create and maintain company-specific AutoCAD standards and technical details. - Collaborate with project teams to resolve design challenges and improve drafting processes. - Conduct quality checks to ensure accuracy and compliance with industry standards. - Support project documentation, including design revisions, as-built drawings, and technical submittals. - Assist in the integration of Revit models and BIM coordination when applicable. Qualifications - Work experience as an electrical designer/drafter preferred - Ability to work in a team environment with Project Managers, Engineers and Designers. - Must thrive in a fast-paced environment, be motivated by deadlines, and possess the ability to multi-task. - Proficiency with AutoCAD, Microsoft Office products, especially excel. - Revit experience a plus. - Communication skills both written and verbal are required. - Knowledge of the principles within engineering and construction field preferred. The scope of projects will include data centers, industrial buildings, offices and other high-profile construction projects. This role will be highly collaborative amongst Meade staff, clients, vendors, and external disciplines. Travel to job sites may be required for site observations and client meetings. Job Duties: - Responsible for designing electrical systems and performing design calculations. - Review, signing and sealing of projects. - Review submittals, RFIs, change orders, preparation of record drawings, site visits, inspections and participation in commissioning work. - Writing and editing of electrical equipment specifications, selecting equipment, electrical systems and devices. - Ensure jobs are completed accurately, within deadlines and on budget. Minimum Qualifications: - 4+ years of Professional Electrical Engineering design experience in the construction industry, preferrable with T-SCIF. - Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering - Valid Electrical Professional Engineer (PE) license (will consider Engineering in Training certification). - Experience in load planning and programming. - Coding experience required. - Experience designing power systems for data centers, commercial offices, manufacturing facilities, medical buildings, or other large commercial projects. - Experience working independently, managing priorities and providing mentorship to junior staff. - Strong understanding of National and International Building Codes and NFPA Standards. - Advanced knowledge of equipment power requirements, including large scale standby and emergency power system, including interactive generator controls systems. - Experienced in producing Protective Device Coordination and Arc Flash studies is preferred. - Experienced with Medium Voltage equipment selection and specifications is preferred. - Ability to think strategically and demonstrate flexibility in order to achieve long-range objectives. - Self-motivated, comfortable with ambiguity and motivated to work as a team. - Top-notch organization, attention to detail combined with excellent written and oral communication skills. - Proficiency with MS Office, AutoCAD, BlueBeam, BIM and Revit. Overview This role supports automation and intralogistics systems by designing and implementing electrical solutions that power automated material handling operations across distribution and fulfillment environments.
