• The DevSecOps SME supports the design, implementation, and optimization of secure, automated DevSecOps solutions across the program. • Works closely with the Lead DevSecOps Engineer, internal engineering teams, and customer DevSecOps counterparts to enhance CI/CD pipelines, strengthen security integration, and improve delivery performance. • Contributes to assessing existing pipelines and interfaces, recommending improvements, and implementing DevSecOps best practices across the development lifecycle. • Plays a key role in integrating security controls, automation, and monitoring into cloud-based environments while ensuring alignment with program standards and governance requirements. • Participates in technical discussions and supports readiness activities by helping translate engineering outcomes into actionable insights for stakeholders. • Stays current with evolving DevSecOps practices and applies modern tools and techniques to improve efficiency, security posture, and scalability.
Job Requirements
- Demonstrated experience supporting DevSecOps engineering activities within a program or project.
- Must be able to obtain and maintain a favorable contractor fitness determination
- Experience working with CI/CD pipelines, automation tools, and cloud-based environments.
- Ability to contribute to assessing and improving DevSecOps pipelines and system interfaces.
- Experience implementing DevSecOps best practices to support secure and reliable delivery.
- Minimum 7–9 years of experience in Information Technology with a focus on DevSecOps.
- Experience supporting integration of security practices (e.g., static/dynamic scanning, secrets management, compliance checks) into CI/CD pipelines.
- Ability to collaborate with cross-functional teams and customer stakeholders to support solution delivery.
- Strong analytical skills with the ability to identify risks, inefficiencies, and improvement opportunities.
- Demonstrated ability to provide technical guidance and mentorship to junior engineers.
- Experience operating in environments with governance, compliance, or security oversight requirements.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills, including contributing to technical documentation and status reporting.
- Demonstrated ability to stay current with DevSecOps tools, practices, and emerging technologies.
- High professional discretion and sound judgment in sensitive environments.

• Design, implement, and validate disaster recovery architectures for relational, NoSQL, and managed data services across AWS, Azure, or GCP • Plan and execute database migration cutovers including blue-green database swaps, read-replica promotion, and zero-downtime schema migration workflows • Architect replication topologies (cross-region, cross-account, active-passive, active-active) and validate RPO/RTO targets through runbook-driven DR drills • Build and maintain Infrastructure as Code for data platform provisioning (RDS, Aurora, DynamoDB, ElastiCache, Redshift, managed Kafka/MSK, etc.) using Terraform, Atlantis, and/or CloudFormation • Design backup, snapshot, and point-in-time recovery strategies with automated validation and alerting • Develop automation tooling for data platform operations: failover orchestration, health checks, capacity scaling, and credential rotation • Implement observability for data infrastructure—replication lag monitoring, connection pool health, query performance baselines, and storage growth forecasting • Support production workload migrations including data tier cutovers with rollback plans and data integrity verification • Contribute to multi-tenant Kubernetes platform operations where data services intersect (e.g., External Secrets Operator for DB credentials, sidecar patterns for connection pooling) • Participate in regular customer and internal EverOps scrums, providing data architecture guidance and operational status • Document runbooks, architecture decision records (ADRs), and operational playbooks for data platform operations
