• Design end-to-end user experiences for Chainguard products, from concept through launch and iteration • Translate complex technical systems (CI/CD, containers, supply chain security) into intuitive, developer-friendly workflows • Partner closely with engineering and product to ship features quickly and iteratively • Create wireframes, prototypes, and high-fidelity designs for web-based applications • Improve usability and performance of data-heavy interfaces (large datasets, dependencies, logs, etc.) • Help define and evolve design patterns and systems across the product suite • Incorporate AI-driven workflows into product experiences where relevant • Gather and incorporate user feedback directly from customers and end users to continuously improve the experience • Proactively articulate speculative concepts into feasible solutions

• Proactively identify large, strategic UX opportunities that span both inside your areas and across the product. Work with other product design managers, staff, and principal product designers to drive cross-product initiatives through awareness and prioritization. • Identify strategic user research initiatives that span multiple stage groups (and possibly the entire product), and work with other product design/research managers to organize research efforts. • Be a frequent and active participant in milestones by reviewing UX deliverables (such as research and designs) that your team creates, and provide feedback to ensure high-quality output. • Communicate the value of UX to cross-functional GitLab team members and work with them to leverage the product development flow. • Help the product teams of areas you support to prioritize UX initiatives including Deferred UX, triage and resolution of UX bugs, and overall usability improvements to the product. Lead UX Scorecard initiatives in order to consistently measure the experience of your product areas and show improvements over time. • Contribute to product direction conversations, with emphasis on leading the experience vision for your product areas. • Hire, grow and retain a world-class team of Designers.

We are now seeking a talented and innovative User Experience (UX) Designer to join our team and lead the rework of our user interface. Role and Responsibilities: As the User Experience Designer at Bask, you will be responsible for reworking our current user interface to make it more intuitive, user-friendly, and aesthetically appealing. Your goal will be to ensure that the software maintains its robust complexity while providing a seamless and enjoyable user experience. Your primary duties will include: - Conducting thorough user research to understand our target audience, their needs, pain points, and preferences. - Collaborating closely with cross-functional teams, including software developers, product managers, and stakeholders, to gather insights and align design strategies. - Designing and creating wireframes, prototypes, and mockups to illustrate new interface concepts and interactions. - Evaluating and analyzing the existing UI, identifying areas for improvement, and proposing creative solutions to enhance usability. - Streamlining complex workflows, interactions, and information architecture to simplify the overall user experience. - Ensuring the new design aligns with the company's brand identity, values, and visual guidelines. - Conducting usability testing sessions and gathering feedback from users to validate design choices and iterate on improvements. - Staying up-to-date with the latest UX design trends, technologies, and best practices to continuously enhance our software.
