Role Summary The QA / Test Automation Lead is responsible for ensuring the quality, reliability, and performance of software solutions through robust testing strategies and automation practices. Acting as a key contributor within the delivery lifecycle, this role focuses on designing and implementing scalable test automation frameworks, leading testing activities, and ensuring alignment with business and technical requirements. Working across the full Software Development Lifecycle (SDLC), the QA Lead operates effectively within Agile/Scrum environments, collaborating with cross-functional teams including developers, product owners, and stakeholders. The role requires strong leadership, problem-solving, and communication skills to drive quality assurance initiatives and continuous improvement. What You’ll Do - Design, develop, and maintain test automation frameworks, standards, processes, and best practices - Lead and manage daily and weekly activities of the test automation team - Define test strategies, plans, and execution approaches to ensure comprehensive test coverage - Oversee test execution, monitor progress, and report on testing status, risks, and issues - Identify problem areas, recommend corrective actions, and drive resolution of defects and quality gaps - Collaborate with cross-functional teams during requirement analysis and solution design phases - Ensure integrity and quality of testing and acceptance activities across the delivery lifecycle - Provide expert guidance on test planning, automation, and execution strategies - Develop automation solutions for Mobile (iOS/Android), API, and UI testing - Integrate automated testing into CI/CD pipelines to support continuous delivery - Evaluate and recommend test tools, techniques, and frameworks to improve product quality - Build strong relationships with stakeholders to facilitate efficient delivery of IT solutions - Clearly communicate issues, risks, and proposed solutions to technical and non-technical stakeholders - Prioritize workloads effectively to meet organizational and project objectives What We’re Looking For - University degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field - Proven experience in test automation framework development using tools such as Selenium, Cucumber, Robot Framework, or similar (Python, Java, or C#) - Strong experience implementing automated testing within CI/CD pipelines - Hands-on experience with UI and API test automation - Experience with Agile methodologies and working in cross-functional teams - Familiarity with test management and defect tracking tools such as Jira - Strong analytical thinking and problem-solving capabilities - Excellent communication and stakeholder engagement skills - Experience designing and implementing scalable automated testing solutions Other Desired Qualifications - Experience in non-functional testing (e.g. performance, availability) - Knowledge of tools such as JMeter or similar performance testing tools - Experience with mobile automation tools such as Espresso and XCUITest - Familiarity with markup and data formats such as XML and JSON - Experience with mock services and service virtualization - Experience with NoSQL databases such as MongoDB - Programming experience in Java or other object-oriented languages is an advantage - Self-motivated, organized, and able to work independently and collaboratively - Strong presentation and communication skills Why Join CAPCO - Work on engaging projects with some of the largest banks/insurance in the world, on projects that will transform the financial services industry - Work in a collaborative, flat, and entrepreneurial consulting culture - Access continuous learning, training, and industry certifications - Be part of a team shaping the future of digital financial services - Help shape the future of digital transformation across FS & Energy We offer: - A work culture focused on innovation and creating lasting value for our clients and employees - Ongoing learning opportunities to help you acquire new skills or deepen existing expertise in our financial services offerings - A flat, non-hierarchical structure that will enable you to work with senior partners and directly with clients - An agile, diverse, entrepreneurial, inclusive, meritocratic culture We have been informed of several recruitment scams targeting the public.
