Keywords Studios currently looking to expand its team in South East Asia. We're currently looking for AAA, experienced Environment Artists specifically with Lighting experience. These opportunities can be located in either Malaysia, Indonesia, Philippines (Remote), Singapore (Onsite). This is a permanent, full time position. Keywords Studios is a global leader providing art services to AAA Publishers. Our work can be seen across many of the top selling titles on console and PC. We've secured an exciting AAA IP project and anticipating further project announcements early in 2026.

- At Keywords Studios we are looking for an accomplished, enthusiastic and self-motivated Environment Artist (Lighting Focus) to join our team working on an exciting, new and unannounced project.
- An Environment Artist (Lighting Focus) at Keywords Studios:
- Creates high-quality environment art with a strong emphasis on lighting, mood, and atmosphere.
- Builds, iterates, and optimises lighting setups that support gameplay, narrative, and artistic direction.
- Collaborates closely with art direction, level design, and tech art to ensure lighting enhances spatial readability and performance.
- Authors and maintains lighting passes, post-processing profiles, and environment shaders/materials as needed.
- Troubleshoots lighting issues related to performance, consistency, or technical constraints across platforms.
- Contributes to visual benchmarks and helps establish best practices for lighting workflows.
- Requirements
- Proven experience as an Environment or Lighting Artist on a shipped AAA or high-quality game project.
- Strong portfolio demonstrating lighting, composition, and environment art fundamentals.
- Proficiency with modern game engines (Unreal, Unity or proprietary engines).
- Solid understanding of lighting theory, color, exposure, and real-time rendering.
- Experience with PBR workflows and optimization for real-time environments.
- Ability to work collaboratively across disciplines and iterate quickly based on feedback.
- Experience with lighting tools, profiling/debugging, or scripting for workflow automation.

Role Description This is an independent contract role; candidates must have own workstation, adequate internet access, and necessary software access. If needed, a software license may be provided during the contract to ensure appropriate software version is used for the project. The 2D Animator is responsible for producing high-quality character and performance animation that aligns with the series’ visual style and storytelling objectives. This role works closely with Directors and Production to deliver consistent, on-model animation within established schedules and pipeline requirements. Job Duties: - Create high-quality 2D animation using Harmony in alignment with the established series style and direction. - Look over and revise posing from the animation team to maintain a strong anime action look to the property. - Interpret and implement the Director’s vision while maintaining consistency in performance, timing, and acting. - Ensure all animation adheres to production specifications, naming conventions, and pipeline requirements. - Work from storyboards, layouts, and animatics to produce final animation ready for downstream departments. - Collaborate with Creative Director to meet quotas, targets, and delivery schedules. - Maintain shot continuity and consistency across sequences and episodes. - Address creative and technical notes promptly and accurately. - Communicate any blockers, delays, or risks to Production with advance notice. - Organize and manage files efficiently within the studio pipeline. - Participate in dailies, reviews, and team discussions, incorporating feedback effectively. - Support cross-department collaboration to ensure smooth handoffs between Layout, Animation, and downstream teams. - Contribute to a positive team environment aligned with Kickstart’s core values. - Interact respectfully and professionally with colleagues, partners, and clients. - Additional duties as requested.
