• Reviewing and accurately coding professional services • Assigning ICD-10, CPT and/or HCPCS codes • Ensuring data integrity of coded patient records • Researching patient accounts for questions/errors • Complying with department productivity and accuracy standards • Communicating with providers for documentation clarification
Job Requirements
- High School diploma or equivalent
- 1 year of coding experience
- Recognized Certification by the AHIMA or AAPC
- Computer skills and dexterity for data entry
- Proficient with Windows-style applications
- Knowledge of ICD-9-CM, ICD-10, CPT, HCPCS and coding principles
- Excellent decision making, problem solving and analytical skills
