We’ve raised $160m+ from top investors including Insight, Accel, and 60+ angels. We are hiring a Junior Banking Operations Associate to join our growing team. Reporting to the Manager of Banking and Risk Operations, the Associate would be responsible for supporting the company’s banking operations, with a focus on Mobile Check Deposits and Card Dispute Management. The position would ideally be based in New York City, but we are open to exploring US remote work with outstanding candidates. This is an Internship Program to give Undergraduate or Graduate students an opportunity to break into Fintech with a team of experienced founders and builders at heart, backed by top VCs and 40+ top fintech angels. For the right candidate, this is a rare opportunity to build an industry-defining company from the ground up. KEY RESPONSIBILITIES - Conduct fraud reviews of Mobile Check Deposits - Manage debit card disputes across both business and consumer accounts - Collaborate with product and engineering teams to learn about and contribute to in-house automated banking solutions - Participate in training and educational sessions on banking systems and operations WHAT WE’RE LOOKING FOR - Undergraduate (Junior/Senior) or Graduate student. - Major or Minor in Economics, Financial Crimes, or related fields preferred. - Extreme attention to detail and willingness to say something if you see something. - Collaborative team player who enjoys learning from others who might be remote and willing to ask questions often. - Ability to communicate well via Email or internal direct messaging systems with national and international team members. - Fast paced learner and tech savvy TIMELINES The internship program will be for a 4-month period. There is a rolling start date, so it’s preferable that the candidate will be available to start as soon as possible: - Before Summer months, the candidate will be asked to work remotely ~20 hours/week covering the hours of 3pm ET and 7pm ET. - During Summer months, the candidate will be asked to work ~35 hours/week covering the hours of 12pm ET and 7pm ET. The completion date of this internship is expected to be mid-August, however an exact final date can be discussed. For this position, we anticipate offering an annual salary of 56,500 - 94,100 USD / yearly, depending on relevant factors, including experience and geographic location. The PB Epic Claim Processor position is responsible for acting as a liaison for hospitals and clinics using TruBridge’s complete business office services. They work closely with TruBridge management and hospital employees to bill insurance companies for all hospital, hospital-based physician and clinic bills. They pursue collection of all claims until payment is made by insurance companies; and perform other work associated with the billing process. Essential Functions: In addition to working as prescribed in our Performance Factors specific responsibilities of this role include: - Prepares and submits hospital, hospital-based physician and clinic claims to third-party insurance carriers either electronically or by hard copy billing. - Secures needed medical documentation required or requested by third party insurances. - Follows up with third-party insurance carriers on unpaid claims till claims are paid or only self-pay balance remains. - Processes rejections by either making accounts private or correcting any billing error and resubmitting claims to third-party insurance carriers. - Responsible for consistently meeting production and quality assurance standards. - Maintains quality customer service by following company policies and procedures as well as policies and procedures specific to each customer. - Updates job knowledge by participating in company offered education opportunities. - Protects customer information by keeping all information confidential. - Processes miscellaneous paperwork. - Ability to work with high profile customers with difficult processes. - May regularly be asked to help with team projects. - Ensure all claims are submitted daily with a goal of zero errors. - Timely follow up on insurance claim status. - Reading and interpreting an EOB (Explanation of Benefits). - Respond to inquiries by insurance companies. - Denial Management. - Meet with Billing Manager/Supervisor to discuss and resolve reimbursement issues or billing obstacles. - Review late charge reports and file corrected claims or write off charges as per client policy. - Review reports identifying readmissions or overlapping service dates and ignore, merge, or split-bill according to the payer’s rules and the client’s policy. - Review credit reports, resolve credits belonging to a payer when able, and submit a listing of credits to the facility as required by the payer.
