In this client-facing role, you’ll combine consultative sales, account management, and industry expertise to build long-term partnerships with key beef and dairy accounts. Working closely with internal teams across Sales, Marketing, Operations, and Client Services, you’ll develop strategic account plans, deliver value-added genetic solutions, and help customers achieve measurable success. As the local subject matter expert, you’ll play a critical role in strengthening Trans Ova Genetics’ presence, performance, and reputation in the market. This position requires extensive travel within the following territory: Wisconsin, Illinois, Indiana, Eastern Iowa, and the upper peninsula of Michigan. Our ideal candidate would be located in northern Illinois, but candidates living within the defined territory are welcome to apply. RESPONSIBILITIES - Develop and execute strategic key account plans in partnership with Client Service and Operations leadership to drive growth and performance - Deliver consultative, value-driven solutions to key beef and dairy accounts, fostering long-term, mutually beneficial relationships - Collaborate with Sales and Marketing to support targeted client initiatives, relationship-building programs, and value-added services - Identify, qualify, and develop new business opportunities while maintaining an active pipeline of prospective clients - Act as the local key account and industry expert, supporting internal teams and strengthening relationships with veterinarians, breed associations, and academic partners - Support team-based selling through coordinated call planning, resource optimization, and consistent account follow-up - Lead educational presentations and training sessions showcasing Trans Ova’s embryo products and services - Uphold Trans Ova’s professional standards, brand image, and policies while supporting operational needs, including partner reviews and accounts receivable QUALIFICATIONS - Bachelor’s Degree preferably in a scientific or a business discipline. - Ability to travel extensively required (>70%). OTHER SKILLS/EXPERIENCE - Minimum of two (2) years of related sales and/or marketing experience in the animal health industry is required. - Knowledge of the bovine industry is required. - Excellent communication skills (verbal/written) and proficiency with a computer including Excel, Power Point, and Word required. - High degree of professionalism. - Experience selling to Dairy’s and Beef producers is highly desired. - This position can be based out of any state withing the defined territory. - Experience with a CRM is a plus.
