YOUR CLIENT Our client, the world’s #1 restaurant chain, is enhancing its engineering infrastructure. We are seeking a Senior DevOps Engineer with experience to support, improve, and automate infrastructure and CI/CD processes. The ideal candidate should have hands-on experience with Kubernetes, Linux systems, and scripting (preferably Python), as well as a solid understanding of cloud platforms and automation practices. YOUR TASKS - Participate in developing, maintaining, and improving infrastructure using Kubernetes - Manage and optimize GKE clusters - Deploy, manage, and support containerized applications - Develop and optimize CI/CD pipelines for build, test, and deployment automation - Automate infrastructure provisioning using Infrastructure as Code (IaC) tools - Manage and troubleshoot Linux-based systems and services - Write scripts and automation tools (Python or similar) - Help implement monitoring, logging, and alerting solutions - Contribute to system reliability, performance, and security improvements - Troubleshoot issues in staging and production environments - Collaborate with development and QA teams to enhance delivery processes YOUR PROFILE - 4+ years of experience in DevOps, SRE, or Infrastructure Engineering - Practical experience with Kubernetes (deployments, scaling, troubleshooting basics) - Mandatory hands-on experience with Google Cloud Platform (GCP) - Experience working with GKE in production or staging environments - Strong understanding of Linux/Unix administration - Scripting skills, preferably in Python - Familiarity with CI/CD tools (Jenkins, GitLab CI, GitHub Actions) - Experience with Docker and containerization workflows - Basic experience with IaC tools such as Terraform or CloudFormation - Understanding of networking basics, security principles, and system architecture Experience with monitoring tools (Prometheus, Grafana, ELK) Would be a plus: - Experience with microservices architectures - Knowledge of Helm charts - Kubernetes or cloud certifications (GCP preferred) - Exposure to configuration management tools (Ansible, Chef, Puppet) What you will love about working here? - We care about all our employees and want them to feel as comfortable as possible. Position Overview We are seeking an experienced Principal DevOps Engineer to lead the design, governance, and evolution of enterprise cloud architecture within a federal environment. This role focuses on architectural leadership, strategic planning, and technical oversight rather than hands-on engineering execution. The Azure Cloud Architect will define cloud architecture standards, guide DevOps and engineering teams, and ensure Azure environments are designed for scalability, resilience, security, and compliance. The architect will collaborate closely with engineering teams, program leadership, and government stakeholders to ensure cloud solutions align with mission objectives and federal security requirements. Location: United States (Remote; DMV region preferred) Clearance Requirement: U.S. Citizenship required; must currently hold or have previously held a Public Trust designation. Key Responsibilities Cloud Architecture & Strategy - Design and oversee highly available, secure, and scalable Azure architectures across compute, storage, networking, and identity services. - Define enterprise Azure reference architectures, patterns, and best practices for development teams. - Establish architectural guidance for Azure identity, governance, policy enforcement, and monitoring frameworks. - Evaluate and guide the adoption of cloud-native Azure services and modernization strategies.
