• Leverage AI agents/tools to assist in code generation, refactoring, and debugging • Acquire new skills and techniques and apply them within assigned engineering tasks • Perform analysis and troubleshooting of complex software constructs • Participate in defining coding standard practices and procedures for adoption by the team and technology organization • Lead the research, design, and development efforts of moderately complex software components • Construct unit tests over complex algorithms to ensure a high degree of quality in code • Collaborate with other engineers on the team and across the technology organization • Participate in reviewing and providing feedback on complex code algorithms • Author complex technical documentation and design sketches at a feature level • Provide high level estimates at an epic level • Participate in functional requirements review with Product Owner • Recognize and adjust when a task is becoming a time-sink • Help others see that quality is critical to the success of a project • Encourage the team to stay focused and on track moving towards the team sprint commitment

• Design, build, and maintain scalable cloud-based backend services and APIs • Collaborate with front-end engineers, data teams, and infrastructure to deliver full-feature solutions • Ensure reliability, performance, and scalability of production systems • Integrate with internal and customer-facing systems using secure, robust practices • Deploy services to both cloud and on-site environments • Participate in the full Agile development lifecycle: planning, implementation, testing, deployment, and maintenance • Contribute to continuous improvement of engineering practices, tooling, and architecture

• Design and implement components of our state-of-the-art system sensor that traces all data movement across all applications and files on macOS endpoints • Solve challenging performance optimization problems: we’re building software that monitors hundreds of thousands of events with minimal impact on performance of the endpoint applications • Design and build highly reliable code that never impacts the end-user experience • Build secure-by-design hardened software that must withstand real-world attacks, while processing untrusted data and communicating with a backend over the internet
