Role Description We are looking for a high-performance Business Development Manager whose primary responsibility is to acquire new clients. This is a revenue-first role. The successful candidate must be able to independently generate leads, open doors, secure meetings with decision-makers, and close new business without relying on inbound marketing. The core focus is new client acquisition. This role reports directly to executive leadership within the company. Duties & Responsibilities - New Client Acquisition (Primary Focus) - Proactively generate new business through cold outreach, networking, referrals, and direct prospecting. - Secure meetings with CTOs, Heads of Engineering, Talent Directors, and senior decision-makers. - Pitch the company’s software development and technical staffing solutions confidently and professionally. - Negotiate and close new client agreements. - Build and maintain a strong outbound sales pipeline at all times. - Consistently achieve and exceed monthly and quarterly revenue targets. - Strategic Growth - Identify target industries and companies aligned with the company’s service offering. - Develop and execute a clear go-to-market strategy for acquiring new clients. - Collaborate with internal leadership to structure commercial proposals and pricing models. - Provide regular pipeline updates and revenue forecasts to management. - Market & Industry Alignment (Secondary Focus) - Maintain a strong understanding of the software development landscape and technical roles. - Understand client hiring needs sufficiently to position technical staffing and development solutions effectively. - Stay informed on industry trends within tech and digital transformation sectors. Qualifications - Matric (essential). - 4+ years proven experience in IT sales, software services sales, or technical staffing business development. - Demonstrated track record of securing new corporate clients (not just managing existing accounts). - Evidence of achieving or exceeding revenue targets. - Experience selling into tech, software, fintech, digital, or corporate environments. - Established and usable network within the tech or corporate sector. - Valid driver’s license and own reliable vehicle. - Independent operator who does not require constant supervision. Requirements - Existing international network or market access (advantageous, not required). - Experience securing clients outside of South Africa (advantageous, not required). - Exposure to global software, fintech, or remote engineering markets (advantageous, not required). Benefits - Basic plus commission.
