Role Description As an integral part of health care delivery at PPNNE, the Remote Care Team provides both Telehealth clinical care to patients, as well as Centralized Clinical Support to both patients and health center staff regarding lab work follow up, patient communications, referral care coordination, and health information management Affiliate-wide. The Remote Care Team APC will support PPNNE’s mission of providing accessible reproductive health care through delivering both high quality, patient-centered, personalized telehealth visits, as well as daily integration of remote health care delivery support services to patients and health care teams Affiliate-wide. - Provides exceptional patient-centered care, in a manner that ensures compliance with current PPNNE efficiency and productivity standards. - Assesses patient's health status and prescribes appropriate contraceptive methods, treatments for GYN problems. - Counsels/educates patients regarding general reproductive health care; all FDA-approved methods of birth control, including emergency contraception; pregnancy options including abortion, adoption as well as Gender Affirming Hormone Therapy. - Provides health care that is culturally and linguistically appropriate to PPNNE patient populations. - Performs appropriate clinical care via telehealth as well as physical exams, with focus on the reproductive system, including standard initial and annual exams, and screening procedures. - Refers patients to physicians and other health or social services as appropriate. - Responsible for accurately coding for medical services provided, in support of the organization’s overall revenue cycle. - Must be willing/able to provide in-person care in their home site health center as needed in addition to providing telehealth care. Role Description The GMSA intern will play a key role in assisting with the maintenance and updating of all field medical materials employed by the MSLs. This will require continuous interaction with the National Field Director and Director of Medical Communications to ensure relevant decks and materials are updated and expiring materials reapproved. All necessary updates to decks and other materials will be made by the intern and vetted with the Director of Medical Communications/National Field Director. Once necessary changes/updates are made and approved, the intern will be responsible for shepherding the updated material through the Veeva Medical Communications and MMRT approval process. As a contributing member of the GMSA team, the intern will also be required to attend Medical Communication meetings with relevant vendors and attend all internal Medical Communication meetings. - Learn all relevant aspects of Veeva Medical Communications - Maintain and update all field medical materials - Shepherd all newly updated medical material through the approval process - Provide assistance to members of the Medical Communications team on additional projects when needed - Attend all relevant internal Medical Communications meetings and those with vendors - Ensure that all expiring field medical material are resubmitted in Veeva Medical Communications for reapproval The intern will meet every week with the Director of Medical Communications to review progress and ensure aims of the internship are being met.
