Scope: Facility coder with 2+ years' experience in ED facility coding to include diagnosis and procedure coding. Experience with Meditech a plus but not necessary. Target productivity after ramping up will be 12 CPH. This will be shorter term assignment estimated to be 3-6 months. Schedule requirements are M-F. Times of the day worked can be flexible within reason but will need to be available during regular business hours the first day for initial training. Summary/Objective Under limited supervision the Coder ER reviews medical records and performs coding on all diagnoses, procedures, DRG/APC and charge codes. The Coder ER uses the most accurate codes for reimbursement purposes, research, epidemiology, statistical analysis outcomes, financial and strategic planning, evaluation of quality of care, and communication to support the patient’s treatment. The selected candidate will join 12 other emergency radiologists. The position provides a flexible work schedule consisting of 10-hour shifts every third week and allows for remote coverage.
