Technical Representative
Brooks Running
• Lead the overall field support efforts for Brooks at both Specialty Running Accounts (SRA) and Non-Specialty accounts • Support the Sales and Marketing teams with product launches, in-store merchandising • Work with Sales management and Marketing on the success of National Account sell-thru programs • Educate and motivate the retailer, consumer, and all key points of contact about Brooks technology and product leadership • Be the eyes and ears of the brand and communicate brand positioning and competitors • Provide feedback and analysis via ForceManager (our CRM tool) • Represent Brooks at running events and expos
Job Requirements
- Bachelors degree in Business, Marketing or related field or equivalent combination of education and/or experience
- 1+ years of retail experience (Athletic Specialty preferred)
- 2+ years of Marketing/Sales experience within the sports industry preferred
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills in English
- Very strong presentation skills
- Excellent interpersonal skills
- Keen attention to detail in planning, organization and execution of tasks
- Ability to anticipate how a decision made can affect customers
- Demonstration of innovation and initiative
- Passionate participation in Brooks’ sports activities a plus
- Basic knowledge of retail math, inventory management, product merchandising and retail selling skills
- Knowledge of performance athletic footwear/apparel/accessories and their related technologies
- Knowledge of the biomechanics of human motion
- Understanding of the territory’s local running community
- Extensive travel required; able and willing to work weekends and extended hours as required
- Drivers license is mandatory and must show proof of good driving record upon request
