Title: Textile Design & Product Development Manager Location: Los Angeles, CA Job Description: Parachute is looking for an enthusiastic, creative, detail orientated Design & Product Development Manager to join our Design team. This person will have a passion for the home space, knowledge of current trends, and an organized, efficient manner of working. They will provide sketches, create CAD art and will own the product development process to help bring design concepts to life. What You’ll Do: - Partner closely with the Chief Creative Officer and Design Director to ideate seasonal product direction, including design concepts, color palettes, and assortment strategy - Develop seasonal product concepts through sketches and CAD drawings - Own the full product development lifecycle—from design inception through final sample approval - Create detailed, accurate tech packs to ensure seamless development and production - Lead vendor communication from initial outreach (quality, costing, capabilities) through development, sampling, and post-season follow-up - Upload, manage, and maintain all tech packs and updates within the PLM system - Collaborate cross-functionally with Merchandising and Sourcing to align on product quality, cost, execution and timing - Research and develop seasonal trends, themes, concepts, color direction, materials, fabrications, and manufacturing processes - Manage sample tracking and organization, including handoff to Creative teams and ongoing sample support throughout the season - Maintain a comprehensive reference library of swatches, documentation, and quality submissions - Be physically present in the Culver City office to review and approve product samples firsthand—including assessing color accuracy, material quality, construction details, and overall design execution, and partnering in real-time with Design and Creative teams to iterate quickly and move products from concept to final approval. • The Senior Visual Designer translates design concepts into wireframes and high fidelity according to the project requirements, technical capabilities and limitations, product objective, as well as Bonza’s brand personality and design styles to its users. • He/She also explores new design ideas through creating sketches, building mock-ups, and design prototypes. • He/She conducts visual audit, visual design research on competitors’ products and market trends, using data-driven insights to uncover new ways of visual delivery and provide recommendations to the relevant stakeholders. • The Senior Visual Designer is responsible for the overall solution of the visual forms of the design output and its user experience. • Therefore he/she possesses skills not only producing visual output –either in the format of illustrations, low fidelity to high fidelity user interface, and/or animation/motion graphics–, but also creating a great and seamless user experience of the product. • To make sure the product is well-fitted to the other and overall Bonza's products, He/She ought to create suitable product flow and the foundational information architecture of the product. • To obtain optimal product fit and quality, he/she is able to juggle on multiple tasks in parallel and getting involved across end-to-end project phases. • At the same time, He/She needs to maintain high quality design solutions that meet overall business and product objectives while dealing with some changes and iterations. • In addition, he/she demonstrates stakeholder management skills in partnering with internal stakeholders to align on the design decisions at each of the design phase.
